  1. Is Neko really playing with just 4 strings on this SG? Funny... I never noticed before, and I've seen her 3 times. Kevin PS: Nice shots, btw! ACLF is the shizzle--I'm hoping to be back again in '09.
  2. WKNC (88.1 FM) is my go-to radio station when I'm in the mood for radio. (iPod takes precendence.) I've requested "I'm a Wheel" several times while barreling down I-40 on the commute home! Cheers, Kevin
  3. Who let the dog out? I'm guessing there was a dog in Donna's original post...
  4. I enjoyed the premiere as well. I'm glad I didn't really waste my time paying attention (although it was on) to the premiere. Looked kinda ghey to me
  5. Neither Cat Stevens' "How Can I tell You" nor her cover of Bowie's "Space Oddity" are on either of those discs. I've seen the new Lincoln ad, and there's no mistaking it's Chan. I remember reading on the Matador Records site (back when the diamond TV commercial was hot) that Chan had NOT recorded a full version of that song, just maybe 0:60 worth, part of which was featured in the commercial. That could have changed, or it could have been mis-information.... as so many folks were groveling for the song to be released. (this was prior to Jukebox) Kevin
  6. It's been pretty spot-on for me too. I have a rather large library, and oftentimes get stuck in a music "rut" if you will, listening only to a certain band, or album, or what have you. The genius factor for me is that it juxtaposes songs that, for whatever reason, simply haven't been played for a while. It's kind of refreshing. Kevin
  7. This dude'll chop that Bryan Adams record into tiny little pieces:
  8. I haven't listened to "Martinis and Bikinis" in a while... maybe it's time to dust it off and give it a spin. Way back in college I saw Suzanne Vega open for Ani DiFranco in Buffalo, NY. I was way more familiar with Vega @ that point than Ani, and was more excited to see Vega, truth be told. I do recall Ani talking about how Suzanne would stay at her parents' house every time she'd play Buffalo. Kevin
  9. John Vanderslice - Exodus Damage "... the second plane hit at 9:02...."
  10. My thoughts exactly. Still, a beautiful instrument, and it looks like it found a good home. Love, love, love that inlay work. b.s.
  11. I love that song. Thanks for posting the link... I'm always looking to hear new live Bird. k
  12. Whiskeytown's "Faithless St." followed by "Stranger's Almanac" (12/31/99-00) DBT's "Southern Rock Opera" several shows on the SRO tour.
  13. I need to block off some time and give this movie another chance. I've watched it once... and I just couldn't follow it. Visually, I didn't like it as much as his previous films. It was 100% digitally filmed, and it showed, even to my untrained eye. I think with the new Red camera though... digital releases will start to become the norm. When this movie was filmed, Lynch was still a pioneer of sorts. Kevin
  14. Is it as secure as FF3 I wonder?
  15. I'll raise my glass in your general direction! Have a good 'un! Kevin
  16. Whoa. Props to whomever filmed that.
