  1. Haven't seen such high quality footage before from Fillmore East. This is pretty much untouchable:
  2. I wish I was a fisherman tumblin' on the seas far away from dry land and it's bitter memories castin' out my sweet line with abandonment and love no ceiling bearin' down on me save the starry sky above with light in my head with you in my arms... I wish i was the brakeman on a hurtlin fevered train crashin head long into the heartland like a cannon in the rain with the feelin of the sleepers and the burnin of the coal countin the towns flashin by and a night that's full of soul with light in my head with you in my arms... And I know I will be loosened from the bonds that hold me fast and the
  3. What a horrible person. The laughing fan-boys in the audience do themselves no favors - although some of it may be nervous laughter.
  4. You are right Jules. Ian Stewart, the Stones original keyboard player, was kicked out of the band n 1963 for not having the right look. But he continued to play keyboards with the band both on record and off-stage during concerts right up until he died in 1985. According to Wiki he played piano on numbers of his choosing throughout tours in 1969, 1975–76, 1978 and 1981–82.
  5. Just checked and the replay 'play now' link does work for users outside Australia. It's a great set list - and nicely recorded.
  6. Some video from the show here: http://ultimateclassicrock.com/rolling-stones-club-gig/
  7. This week's 'Live Set' show on Australian RadioNational features Wilco's recent show at the Hamer Hall in Melbourne. It was broadcast today (sunday 28) but can be replayed via the 'Listen Now' button on the page below. Not sure if the replay works outside Australia. The web page also has some nice live pics of the band plus an interview with Jeff: http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/liveset/wilco-live-in-melbourne/4643484 Here's the setlist - as listed: Track: One Sunday Morning - 10'43" Track: Poor Places / Art of Almost - 12'06" Track: I Might- 3'06" Track: Sunken Treasur
  8. Great second album by Sydney band Songs (the most un-google-friendly band name in the world!).
  9. Thanks for letting us know about the sync'd up version of the Sydney Opera House gig Luminous. I loved the stream but the sync issues were very frustrating. Kudos to the guy who sorted it out :
  10. Among his many accolades, responsible for Bonham's iconic drum sound on When the Levee Breaks: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2013/apr/09/andy-johns-producer-dies
  11. Thanks for the report Rockpools - sounds awesome. Here's the setlist from the Wilco FB page. What a great list!. Heard other reports that this was the best show so far of the Aus/NZ tour. I was at the Sydney Opera House first show and loved it - but the atmosphere at all-seated venues is never quite the same (I didn't know the Opera House was lit up blue as part of an Austism awareness campaign either - but appreciate it as i also have an autistic boy). Town Hall / Wellington, NZ / 05 Apr 2013 setlist: Misunderstood Art of Almost I Might Via Chicago Spiders (kidsmoke) Impossible Germa
  12. Tom Jones with CSN&Y - 1969 - Long Time Gone. Wow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kg0v0Er8Ak
  13. Hummingbird! And finally they switch on the other cameras - I think I even saw Pat for a second!
  14. Shame about the one camera thing - it's like Jeff is the only member of the band. I don't even think Pat has appeared once!
  15. Sound is great but looks like they lost all but the one camera. In the early songs they were switching between cameras including one behind Glen and one near Nels - but from about the fourth number its just the one front-on camera - which missed most of Nels solo in Impossible Germany. Still loving it - GREAT set list. No chat at all so I am guessing they are still on the 11pm curfew.
  16. Here's the link for today's livestream of Wilco at the Sydney Opera House. Concert starts 9.30pm Sydney time which is 6.30am on the US East Coast:
  17. This was definitely some sort of imposed time restriction on the band. I believe it is something to do with Opera Australia's open-air performance of Carmen taking place near the venue. Opera Australia are based at the Opera House and I believe they are using the concert hall for rehersals/preparation before (and possibly after) each performance. When I phoned the Opera House to get the show times earlier in the day the recorded message said the band would be playing without support, coming on at 9.30pm and finishing at 11pm. I've seen lots of shows at the Opera House and never been to
  18. Wow - great news eckythump. Thanks for the heads-up. I was blown away by the audio/visual quality of the recent Neil Finn/Paul Kelly stream from the Opera House so really looking forward to this one. And of course looking forward to seeing the band in person at the Opera House tonight!
  19. UPDATE: I have found two takers for these tickets (via responses from this board). ============================================== I have two spare tickets tomorrow's Wilco show at the Sydney Opera House that I am giving away for free (April 2). These tickets are in the second row. The couple who were coming with my wife and I to the show have had to pull out. I did try and sell the tickets for well under face-value - but given the late notice there were no takers so now I am prepared to give them away for free. I posted this in the 'How to Fight Loneliness' sub-forum - but because
