Actually they look more impressive than they are, they kind of suck. I'm on the market for some new speakers. Might need to start a thread to get some ideas actually...

Speaking of trees, put ours up yesterday, here it is:

Edit: I think at least half of this album could be in the perfect pop songs thread.

I have to say that Black Keys one is my fave but this one stuck out as exceptionally strange: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO1y1wJduCo

The website just says: Cameras or recording devices? Generally no unless the band invited recording and photography. Flash is never allowed. Cameras and recording devices may be confiscated if used against the express wishes of the artist and house. I know you can pull quite a few Boulder Theater shows off the Colorado tapers website so they don't seem to be too strict about it.

I assume I will get it but I have not seen anything yet. I have a link that will let me buy on Thursday but I know there is an earlier pre-sale on Wednesday and I have not seen anything for that as of yet. So a PM would be appreciated just in case!

Thanks Cryptique, loving it. I stand embarrassed for not having listened to this yet.

Well that was just entertaining as all hell.

He absolutely nailed that guitar solo!

I did manage to trim my list from 30+ down to 20 but yeah, it really should be a top ten list or something.

Good Day Sunshine by the Beatles of course.

Yes! Thanks, this is the first I heard of it. Edit: Just looked on the local radio station page and it says "Jeff Tweedy of Wilco".

Must get this...

The talk of private beaches, tax returns and deductions in the first lyrics always conjured up wealth to me. And later he mentions a microscopic home which implies a smaller house/less wealth? I don't know, never been good at lyrical interpretation. I also lean toward this being more stream of conciousness that maybe Jeff couldn't even explain?

I repect your viewpoint on this but I came away feeling a bit different about it. I didn't see it as a money grub any more than any other band that gets out and plays music for money, and I doubt Roger is really in need of much more money. My ticket was something like $65. With that huge production you were getting an awful lot for your money. He also seemed to be really into the show I was at, maybe it was good acting on his part but I don't care, it was a mind blowing show. As far as the show clocking in the same, I think that's to be expected with all the video, wall building, etc...

Hmmm, my joke does not seem to fit here...

What's the worst thing you can hear while blowing Willie Nelson? I'm not Willie Nelson.

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffitti? -- The Windbreakers?
Moss replied to PopTodd's topic in Someone Else's Song
I wondered how he was live. I love the album and they are playing a show here next month but I have not pulled the trigger. I get the impression he is a bit of a spun unit but was not sure how that translated to the live show. I may still go check it out though. -
Yep, sure seems like they are setting something up here.
