Holiday Inn: the movie that first featured the song "White Christmas".

Yay! Looking forward to tomorrow night here!

Nice one, Heather! I really hope whoever won this thing is on VC, and will post pictures for us.

So much great stuff on that site. I love this shot, too:

Here's the info on the Letters to Santa auction. It's happening tonight, and people start forming groups to bid way in advance, so you're probably not going to be able to get in one for this year. Ask around in advance for next year though, there seem to be new groups forming each year.

This one? (I hope that link works, it's from geocities.) Full article here, from the great nutnhunee archives.

Thanks Susan! People posted really great reports from last year's show, it sounded like a blast.

At least three separate groups (three that reported back on VC) won private shows last year. So that's 90 people, many of whom had not attended a show like this previously. Yes, if you want to be in a bidding group, probably the best way to go about it is to try to form one. Good luck to everyone at the auction tomorrow night (is it tomorrow, or tonight?). Hopefully the Tweedys will be as generous as they've been in years past, and there will be multiple winning groups.

Yes, the event info was updated since that was originally posted. -
Auction ends in less than 2 hours. This thing's going for $500+.

Good night, see you around!

I think that was just the SBS stuff, I don't recall it being an issue with AGIB. No, not the boss... just very bossy! Whereabouts are you? Edit: nevermind, just noticed it under your avatar! Some of my best friends are Scottish.

I think those are going to be flac files. If you haven't worked with those before, check out this thread for links to how-to sites.

Yeah, you're a good guy that way. No, since I haven't gotten off my ass to finish the follow-up stuff yet. Hopefully in the next week or so.

Oh sure, make it all easy for him!

This page is still available on wilcoworld, so I'm guessing that they're still supposed to be available. And this post from about a year ago says that they were supposed to still be downloadable then, so again, seems like they should still be available now. And from around the same time (this was related to people having trouble downloading the Sunken Treasure tracks), Wilco HQ posted again to say that you can contact them at support@wilcoworld.net for help with these things. Hope that helps. Welcome to VC! Oh, and I've got nothin' on the UK dates. Sorry.

I thought it was funny.

My sister Trish is stridently anti-sequel, but if she knows it's out there, she has to read it. We all agreed on that one, too, not nearly as good as the first one. I loved Three Junes, too.
-
Yay for reading for fun! Kate, I've posted about this one before, but have you read Crossing California? It's set in Chicago in the 70s, I believe you're familiar with the neighborhood. Kathy and Trish and I all loved it.

Happy day, Matt!

Is this for reals? Anyway:

If the abortion funding issue was something he was passionate about, isn't it possible he would have been glad to see it listed as one of his most important achievements?

Screw the private show, I'm putting everything I've got on that purse.
