  1. there seems to be a lot of advertising for this show...i wonder if the Gilette show is drawing too many people, or if that's hurting too. i would be interested to hear how full (or empty) the park is.
  2. still waiting for the Partridge/Robyn Hitchcock collaboration to see the light of day...if it'll ever happen.
  3. i am gonna blow off Sebadoh tonight.
  4. sorry, didn't think to consider them. i'd put that between Skylarking and Drums/Wires
  5. English Settlement Black Sea Skylarking Drums and Wires Oranges and Lemons Mummer the rest
  6. definitely. that was a good read.
  7. just on that song? or noise in general?
  8. that is classic Neil. looking forward to the November show.
  9. Most of wilco's set is kinder and gentler....I like the chaos and dissonance.
  10. i forgot about Blues Control last night...
  11. win butler? this thread is still the dumbest thread ever on VC.
  12. Van Halen for sure. i wouldn't put the Doors anywhere near that high. also, "Scarlet Bagonias"
  13. man, modest mouse can't even come close to Wilco....laughable assumption/projection there.
  14. they are playing TD Garden on new year's eve.
  15. ok, start voting http://wilcoworld.net/#!/photo-contest-poll/
  16. thanks everyone. unfortunately, Hartford isn't in my plans. edit - also, you can find higher res photos on my site, and I'll probably add a few to this gallery as well over the next couple of days. http://photos.tinnitus-photography.com/p576323728
  17. photos of the show: http://www.prefixmag.com/photos/wilco-blitzen-trapper-and-megafaun-fort-adams-stat/#photo-1
  18. Very solid show. I loved the rework of some of the endings. Good to see they revisit and work out new stuff. Sansone even threw in a handful or two of grit and noise in his hoodoo voodoo duel with Nels. That was super fun. WTF is with the beer tent being a quarter mile away and making you drink from there?
  19. i'm driving down w/ the wife. original plan was for the kids to come too (my youngest has been loving "Heavy Metal Drummer" a lot and wanted to go) but they decided for two more weeks at camp.
  20. for the first song on this last record ("Throw It To The Universe") they are pretty self-referential and even rip off the guitar riff to "Mantra Slider," the first song on their first LP. classic!
