  1. i have never heard of those. when you speak of building the iTunes library, are you mainly talking about playlists? or ratings, etc? metadata should be transferrable, i would think.
  2. iTunes is horrible and the work of several devils. i still can't get one of my ipods to actually be recognized by the software on one machine so i have to use my laptop if i want to move songs. foobar is a far better player, less bloat and all the customization you'd want if you like to tinker (or just use a skin that someone else made).
  3. good read... interesting that Tweedy did some production work that ultimately got scrapped. i'd also love to hear the sessions with Black Mountain as his band: https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/david-berman-was-the-cult-musician-who-went-away-for-10-years-what-made-him-finally-come-back/2019/06/03/19735620-77db-11e9-b7ae-390de4259661_story.html?fbclid=IwAR2W0PezQYtVOoVy7IgwCmdLcN2U2mHdUbV0tMk4-ROBuoYJx_BBRTo9nBU&utm_term=.af9a7f73b62c
  4. they really only hit a low point for me in the Experimental and NYC Ghosts records, and even those records had some good songs.
  5. massive disagreement here... i love Goo and it's rightly among their best records, but the EVOL > Sister > DDN run preceding it was even better. also, my favorite Mudhoney records are the early singles and the S/T. good stuff after that, but far patchier.
  6. three months after i moved to Boston https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/bob-mould/1989/paradise-rock-club-boston-ma-2bede4f6.html
  7. i wanna play drums. i can hit things ok.
  8. yes! Anton Fier on drums, Tony Maimone on bass, and Chris Stamey on guitar.
  9. oh man, one of the best. would be a 10/10 if they scrapped "People" - it's a decent song but def the worst one that record.
  10. 1989 records i dug... note that i was late to the game on some of these American Music Club - United Kingdom Band of Susans - Love Agenda Blake Babies - Earwig Bob Mould - Workbook (still one of rawest performances i've ever seen) Butthole Surfers - Double Live Camper Van Beethoven - Key Lime Pie Christmas - Ultraprophets Of The Psychick Revolution Das Damen - Mousetrap (this record got a ton of play this year from me) De Artsen - Conny Waves With A Shell (pre-Bettie Serveert band that i found out about later. good record) Various - The Bridge (neil young tribute) 11th Dream Day - Beet (al
  11. actually i checked and there seem to be some random rooms left, but a lot of the options are sold out... that went a lot faster than i expected it.
  12. got tickets last night... it's sold out now? or at least the rooms are? damn, that went a lot faster than i expected.
  13. Fleetwood Mac had three very distinct and different eras: the hard blues stuff w/ Kirwin and Green the lighter pop stuff w/ McVie and Welch the california vibe years w/ Lindsay and Stevie
  14. every friday from 7-8 Eastern time, Nick and Paul from the Bevis Frond host a great radio show. full of wonderfully obscure tracks and great between-songs banter. https://www.wmbr.org/www/listen
  15. i did see one rather valid point on the facebook thread though.. that it's Wilco's first show in Mexico, but clearly not focused on the domestic Wilco market given the cost. still, i think it's a pretty cool idea and i do hope to get down there w/ some friends.
  16. haha! (sorry, i hadn't seen this post since i last saw this thread... the board should have a notification if your post gets quoted). i was gonna see TFS tonight in dublin but left a day earlier than i usually do and forgot about it. doh!
  17. new danish psych: https://papir.bandcamp.com/album/vi
  18. yeah i think it's the sins of the few spoiling it for the greater majority.
  19. sorry i just saw this but you've got the numbers swapped... Orpheum is a bit larger than HoB. i guess depending on the demographic, it's easier to sell a $60 ticket to someone if it comes with a seat, vs fighting for a GA spot.
  20. Neko has been anti-phone for the last few tours now. she should open for Tool!
  21. man i would really love to see Ghost again... probably not gonna happen though.
  22. sorry i thought they canceled for the show w/ the Hoople, and then again w/ tHS.
  23. damn that sucks for ONCE... twice ditched at the altar.
  24. nothing beats Kastelic... right at 0:19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kn8BJwARI6A
