  1. There are two more presales tomorrow I can try. I will let you know. Thanks!
  2. Finally, a Wilco show on a night I can attend in NYC. But by the time I was able to try for a ticket, all that was left was the back of the upper upper upper balcony. I will try again, but will have to go for 1st or 2nd mezzanine as that is my price range. It would be nice if I could manage to see this band more than once! (My only time was way back on the Summerteeth tour!)
  3. https://www.apple.com/macos/catalina-preview/ “And rest assured; everything you had in your iTunes library is still accessible in each app.” Note the bar on the left has Apple Music separate from your Library
  4. I don’t think that is what is going to happen. It is only the name of the app that is changing, and the name change is only on Apple devices. iTunes for Windows will remain. I use the “Apple Music” app on my iPod touch all the time, but not as a streaming service, only to access my own library. I think you are panicking needlessly.
  5. What’s The Shed like?
  6. I didn’t make it to Diana Ross, but caught Smokey Robinson earlier and he sounded fantastic. It’s hard to believe he is 79 years old.
  7. This story completely warms my heart. Jeff Tweedy is one good egg.
  8. Not in NYC, for an artist like Wilco. Nick Lowe with Los Straitjackets sold out an upcoming club show in NYC for $40+$10 fees = $50. I would put Wilco as an equal to or slightly more desirable ticket. (I sadly put off buying one of those Nick Lowe tickets too long and got shut out.)
  9. I have since been reminded by someone on another forum that many of the songs Joey sang were written by Terry. So I guess what I miss is Joey singing Terry’s songs. . See the band if you get a chance, they’re still as fun as always, as I said.
  10. Terry Adams is the only original left, yes. This was the 2nd time I’ve seen this particular version of the band. They are very, very good, and as fun as ever, yet I can’t get over the gaping hole left by Joey Spampinato’s exit. They still do many of his songs, and they’ve found a guitarist and bass player who can sound like him. They all swap instruments and are all pretty adept at whatever instrument they’re playing. Terry is clearly the leader of this new band, and is the only strong personality in the band. I thought NRBQ was at its best when Al Anderson served as the perfect foil for
  11. I love Keep It Like a Secret, and most of their recordings, but I saw the band years ago and I thought their live performance was a huge let down. I felt the same way about Pavement when I saw them years ago: loved the records, but couldn’t get into the live show at all. Either I had the very bad luck of seeing both these bands on an off night, or some bands are just better at making records than performing live.
  12. Congratulations! That’s a very big deal!
  13. Dirty Dozen Brass Band hit me like a tsunami, they were that good. The opener Cha Wa, was almost as good! Too bad Car Seat Headrest played so few songs.
  14. I love Car Seat Headrest. Please report back about them.
  15. I am so, so sorry to hear this Craig.
  16. I thought it was a good game. It wasn’t a blowout, so that kept it interesting. For most of the game, since no one was scoring, I was kind of on the edge of my seat (rooting for NE), because I knew any score by either team was going to be hard for the other team to counter. The last few minutes were the least exciting of the game, because LA just seemed to fold.
  17. Wow, so sorry to hear this. I can’t believe even lawyers are temps now. (All that tuition money!!! I feel your pain!) I’m glad I bailed out of law school after one semester.
  18. I thought Steve Coogan was perfect as Stan Laurel. Great film!
