Solid Sound '13 Performers?
The Inside of Outside replied to worldrecordplayer's topic in Just A Fan
I would love to see the Jayhawks play at Solid Sound - I think they would like the vibe at the festival. And the potential for a Golden Smog cover like Radio King, with Jeff joining Gary during a Jayhawks set or Gary joining Jeff in a Wilco encore, would be a great bonus. -

If 90% of the guys on that list were drummers, it would be Spinal Tap. I guess The Grass Roots were Spinal Tap before Spinal Tap. -
Very, very, very cool. Easily worth 11 minutes of my time. I highly recommend folks watching it.

That looks like a great show. If they are going to play an album in its entirety, I'd want Quadrophenia. This would be the tour for me. And the encore looks great. Love Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere. That is a gem. -
As a multiple attendee of Hall and Oates shows, Daryl has made going waaay over the top into a ridiculous trademark of sorts. There is some good stuff on these shows, though.

Cool trifecta of rarities in the middle. And I love a show that ends with The Lonely 1.

96 feet. Which is interesting since we live in a coastal town. But maybe not that interesting since we live as far from the coast as you can in our town and still live in our town.

Love "The bigots." And "the people are all in walking distance." Google Translate is the web's answer to Lotti. -
Great songs with annoying, intrusive sound effects.

Always wondered how that song would sound without the whistle. Better, I am thinking. -

Hummingbird has made a reappearance recently in their setlists. I like that - makes me smile when they play it, and the crowd sings along (but not so much as to drown out Jeff). -

Would it be right to include Wishful Thinking and make it an octet of deeper cuts? -

No way Lance wins without doping, as it was rampant in the sport then. If he did not cheat, he would have been way back in the pack. If other riders from that period are to be believed (and I do believe them), they knew how to beat the tests. So Lance trained hard, used the same illegal tactics as his teammates and opponents, and won. My beef is his continued claim of innocence. I would have a lot more respect for him if he said he cheated, and did some education on the dangers of the drugs/methods used by cyclists. It is ironic that he heads an organization that works to beat cancer, and so -
I saw them once during this phase. My least favorite show of the 16-17 I have seen. Might have been an off night; it was a particularly mellow show. Regardless, I could not get into watching someone play a laptop (Jorgensen was not in back, but to the side, up front).

Love checking out footage from that era. Jay played with soul. I gather he could be a pain to be around, but he could play. -
Fulton County Stadium Riverfront Stadium Fenway Park Yankee Stadium (old) Shea Stadium County Stadium (Milwaukee) Camden Yards Veterans Stadium Arlington Stadium Of the 9 I have been to, only 2 still exist (Fenway and Camden Yards). I was looking recently at the ages of MLB ballparks. Fenway and Wrigley are obviously the oldest. The third oldest? Dodger Stadium, 1962. Kaufman Stadium, which I still consider a newer park, is the sixth oldest. Gotta change my thinking.
