What do you do for a living?
The Inside of Outside replied to remphish1's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Good God there's a lot of teachers who post regularly on Via Chicago. I taught special education for 25 years, middle school assistant principal for the past 3. -

That is a good point - had not thought of her impact as a fashion or cultural icon. -

I agree - this is a good class. The only one I might quibble with is Stevie Nicks, mainly because I don't think much of her solo work. Very surprised (and pleased) that Roxy Music made it in. -

Agree - in the grand scheme of things, Golden Smog is likely more important to us than it is to Jeff. -
I remember about zero from the show, other than Ian Gillian playing the bongos (really weird given, well, given that it was a Black Sabbath show) and that they played the hits. I saw Ozzy with Motley Crew as the opener about the same time - those two shows meld together in my brain. Both had to be the inspiration for Spinal Tap, though I believe they were about concurrent with the movie.

The only time I saw Black Sabbath was on this tour. Not the one to see if you only saw them once.....

Welcome! As for an upcoming tour, it is looking more and more like there will be little if any live Wilco until around the time of the Solid Sound festival in June. They do have what appears to be a date in northern Spain in June, before SS. If past years are any guide, there will likely be some dates before SS, maybe May/June, then some touring after the festival. I am guessing/hoping for a great deal of touring next summer/fall, probably in the 3 weeks on the road, a few weeks off vein that they have embraced in the past few years. I would bet a Chicago show will get in there somewhere.

Like the full band version of Let's Go Rain even more than the solo version.

Very quick compared to past Solid Sounds. I seem to remember February as the month that the line-ups are generally announced, with the three-day schedule out in April/early May.

Reading that review has made me really want to read the book. Prior to reading that review, I had not given much thought to it - figured I would read it, but I was not waiting impatiently for its release. Now I am impatient.... -
I would love to see that tour hit the east coast.....

SO hilarious. -
Really tough. I know that the Sox have home field advantage, but I do not see them as the favorite here. Even with 108 regular season wins.

Longtime registered independent who has probably voted 65-35 Democrat over the years. Recently registered as a Democrat. I'm not sure if the Republican Party should be renamed the Trump Party or the Fascist Party. Regardless, it is not the Republican Party we knew in the 80s and 90s. -
