Ha - Let's just say a hologram was to appear. What era Jeff Tweedy would you want the hologram to represent (thinking about the US Stamp debate on later vs early era Elvis)?!!

Happy to see the tour news. He had said after the last tour that he was going to have to figure out how to make touring pleasant - glad he's giving it another shot. Wish there was a Chicago show - clearly he's doing Lolla (again), but I'd rather see him in a non-festival setting...

He sold out Thalia. I can't figure out why the band name would be spelled Crow instead of Crowe!!!!!

I left a Magpie show in the middle of the encore. Not that impressive. Too much filler.

Its on. Audley Freed on guitar. Andy Hess (played with Crowes for about a year?) on bass. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/chris-robinson-on-reviving-black-crowes-songs-new-band-w515202

On the third day of Christmas my Wilcos gave to me: Three God shaped holes Two intertwined IG guitars And a blinking macrame owl onstage

I thought they did a lot of press for the Out of Time re-issue too...

Even though you caught it from me?

I was there. It is hard to 'review' a show without songs/words! Jeff came out in his J Mascis look and two 5 feet tall Marshall amps. Chris beat on the drums strategically and with force. Darren played seated and I think at one point was using a brush on a colander on top of the guitar strings?? It was great to see some shredding. Darren give his 'hat bow' before and after the show. They took a 30 second breather about halfway through a 45 minute performance. Spencer, Elkington and Liam Cunningham in the audience. Was wondering if we would get "Low Key" as an encore (kidding).

Recent? Dude - that song is 12 years old! It's so bad too!

I thought the show was pretty great. 2 sets each about 45 minutes. Nels played the final 10 minutes with 5 strings. The musicians had great chemistry - lots of space given to each while at the same time collaborating and getting into a great grooves/runs frequently. Nels actually screamed in excitement at one point in the second set. Larry Ochs had a big grin on his face a couple times between notes as he was taking in his band-mates' performance. Glenn Kotche, Bbop and LouieB in the audience too.

Piss it Away = Let's Not Get Carried Away? Has this been discussed?
