I hope they also release the new music on cd and digitally. I imagine they will? While I find Killingsworth almost unlistenable, The Gun album was amazing.

New Minus 5 Album out soon. From universaltrendsetter.org: The Minus 5 is nearing completion of its 9th official long-player, and first since 2009's Killingsworth. Spring Standards - 2013-11-02 @ The Outer Space / Hamden, CT
nalafej replied to MKHstudios's topic in After The Show
Based on your reviews, just bought tickets for Spring Standards tomorrow. I'm excited. Saw Lucius the week before last and they were awesome. -
Good show. 5 covers was a bit much, but they are playing well. Jackie has improved as a fit for the band since I saw them in April (still the poorest fit among the guitarists I've seen them play with). Highlights for me were some of the deeper cuts: Make Glad and Ozone Mama in particular. I'm thinking about making the trek to Milwaukee this upcoming Friday. These were their 4th and 5th shows in Chicago in the last 6 months which may partially explain the non-sellouts.

Rolling Stone has video of Saturday's performances from the 27th Bridge School Benefit shows here: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/live-stream-the-bridge-school-benefit-20131026 In between acts there are various videos including around 3 hours, 40 minutes Jeff Tweedy being interviewed by a Bridge School student. Neil Young pops in and steals the show. Hadn't seen this yet and thought others might want to check it out.

As a follow-up, Wilco got beat. Here is Grantland's summary of the matchup today: It's Better to Be in da Club Than in da Dining Room, Feeding da Kids Mac and Cheese[4] "In da Club," 50 Cent (WINNER: 48,909) [13] "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," Wilco (18,629) As a Dad Rock American* besieged on all sides by hip-hop fans each and every workday, maybe I held out a silly hope that things would turn out differently, that a groundswell of Jeff Tweedy partisans might rise up from the comments sections of every NPR message board on the Internet and overcome the tyranny of the iconic club-banger
-
Very silly, but I was surprised to see that Wilco's IATTBYK made the tournament. Going up against 50 Cent and currently losing 70% to 20%. The picture of Wilco is funny too since it is an animation (?) of the 2004-2013 band and not the makers of the song. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9571566/battle-best-song-millennium-round-64
