I will also recommend that Pittsburgh show - really fun to hear those versions of the Ghost songs.

Wilco — 9/15/12, Chicago, IL (Hideout Block Party)
nalafej replied to linclink's topic in After The Show
My 50th Wilco show! A milestone I didn't realize until this morning. I really appreciated the adventurous setlist. The band's energy seemed flat to me. Maybe a symptom of not playing for a couple weeks or having to concentrate on the songs they don't always play...I don't know. Still a fabulous performance and a great time. Great event - I thought it was set up really well Saturday. Food trucks were eclectic and then musically Wild Belle was a nice find. The leader singer's posture on stage reminded me of Axl Rose. So, those are my random thoughts on the show. -
Yep - we get to watch Steven Tyler sing Zep...

I agree. Solo versions > studio version.

I'd rather see Keith & The Winos in a theater than the Stones in an arena/stadium...

I have two two day tickets and would don't have an interest in going Friday. Anybody want to trade and pay me a few bucks?

That looks great. I hope they bring it to Chicago. -
10-29-2002 isn't the laptop era though, right? I thought that era ended at the end of 2001.

from the CRB web site: The Magic Door contains seven songs: six originals--“Someday Past The Sunset,” “Vibration & Light Suite,” “Appaloosa,” “Little Lizzie Mae,” “Sorrows Of A Blue Eyed Liar” and “Wheel Don't Roll”--plus a cover of Hank Ballard’s “Let’s Go, Let’s Go, Let’s Go,” a CRB set list staple. The songs (written by ROBINSON, with Neal Casal on “Wheel Don’t Roll” and Casal and Adam MacDougal on “Sorrows Of A Blue Eyed Liar”) are all free flowing and some lengthy, with “Vibration & Light Suite” clocking in at 13:56. This is music that is in no hurry to reach its destination bu

$50 is a great deal! I'm sure we won't get a full Wilco set, but Wilco charges $50 alone not even considering the other bands on the bill over the two days.

Surprised by: Chains Recording devices but, even without those, still looking forward to the show!

You are the first person I've seen who likes Glad It's Over. IMO, worst song in the catalog. Now, the thanks I get....great song.

Looks like a great setlist for a weeknight gig at venue with that name: No Art of Almost Black Moon in the #2 slot, Hesitating Beauty, Sky Blue Sky, One By One - seems very chill
