Maybe somewhere smaller? Pearl Jam just completed their two day 20th birthday party there. Neither day sold out. It was so much fun there yesterday.

Saw Andrew Bird at the Opera House. It isn't a great place for rock n' roll (kinda of like Auditorium imo). If any band can find away to rock at the Opera House, wilco can.

i would (whole) love a pm!

He plays Oxford and Mansford left handed. I watched other videos to confirm that he is a righty. Camera trick or just awesome?

I received an email this morning from the Chicago Reader offering discounted tickets to the Chicago Rock Tour. Wilco sections leaves a bad taste in my mouth considering they are still using the loft as opposed to the other locations which aren't active... I went to the website and they are also using a cartoon image of Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco) on the site. Is it possible Wilco approves of this? Neighborhood: Lakeview and other locations $16 Real Deal cost for $32 valued Chicago Rock Tour The Reader Real Deal is offering three different tour dates for the Chicago Music Tours over this weeke

How much does a 7" typically cost? I'm used to songs at $.99 - 1.29/ each and this is quite a bit more. Is that typical?

Fly on the Wall sounds awesome.

I was walking my dog a couple summers ago and caught up to the 4 Tweedy's also walking down the same sidewalk. We walked behind them for 1-2 blocks. They got in their car and my dog immediately peed on the tree next to it! I'm also nearly positive that I passed Jeff driving from MI to Chicago this past year. He was driving so slow! I thought for a bit about slowing down to see if it was really him or at least getting in front of him to see if he'd notice my "Searching for a home Via Chicago" license plate holder. Decided against it. Pat also nearly ran me off the sidewalk on my block last

Really interesting that Pat wasn't behind his keys for HMD! I would have noticed. Maybe the shakers didn't make it to the south with the rest of the gear? I never noticed Pat doing much on that song.

I see a date on wilcoworld I haven't seen posted on vc: July 31 Niigata, Japan Fuji Rock Festival

I have to say that I get pretty excited reading the words in Spin and RS. It is all good. I'm confident that there will be a number of songs on the new album that are going to be awesome. The title is a little depressing I guess. thanks for the entertaining thread everyone. This is why I love vc.

I don't have a lot, but it looks like you are missing the You Never Know single (w/ Unlikely Japan)

I think the version from Martyrs is quite different?? "I was there", but it was "A Long Time Ago".

The song was trashed pretty hard here for a couple years right when it came out. It was fun to hear it Saturday. There isn't much to the song in my opinion - there are at least 50 better Wilco songs I play before this one. I still like it though.

The show last night was a lot of fun. I'm going to give a lot of that credit to the people who got there early and put their requests in with Sue. The setlist was wonderful. You picked the right amount of deep cuts, b sides and maybe most difficult for a diehard to request: hits!!! This was my 22nd Jeff Tweedy solo show and the shows without any hits aren't as fun as the ones where they are mixed in. Jeff did a great job of putting the songs in a great running order too. The crowd was nice. Quiet during the songs (too quiet on sing along parts?) and the right amount of obnoxious between

Red Eye (local paper) indicated today that Saturday is sold out although I'm still pulling up the $150 tickets. I'm expecting Jeff Tweedy to hit the stage shortly after 7:30 with no opening act.

That just went from awesome to terrible.

Glen is opening? As in Glenn Kotche?

I am going to see Drive By Truckers tomorrow afternoon for Studio X. Has anybody been to one of these shows before? Do they last long? Are they crowded? Edit: So I went. It was a great time. DBT played at Reggies which probably holds 100-200 people. It wasn't overly crowded. Shows started pretty promptly at 2:30. They played 5 songs with some awkward banter with Nicholas Tremulous in between a few songs. I don't know their songs well enough. Patterson sang 2 including a cover, Mike sang 2 and Shonna had one. They seemed into it which was cool considering they had a gig the night before and -
Wilco is playing Sasquatch. Looking forward to single day ticket info.
