I think this has kept them in the Chicago media for three weeks. Pretty good PR strategy. Can't wait to see if the fun continues.

It does. The Vic sale was the best setup. No presales is a good thing. That means, we fans only have to dedicate 30 minutes of our time once instead of 3 times. The 2 ticket limit and will call is good on the front end - I hope they are set up well at the Vic and Riv to process us all without tickets.

I agree - I don't see him doing Riv, Vic or subsequent Chicago shows. I think adding him for the additional shows is a great move for all. Really enjoyed his performance in Nashville.

Facebook again says "one night only" Interesting to see where they go from the Vic. Seems like they wouldn't take a day off to only do one more show...

Wilco went on around 9:10 and ended about two hours later. Nick was about a half hour. I actually caught the first period of the Predators game before heading over - probably could have caught the first two.

They cover a Manson song on the album, but the title is not a reference to Manson. Izzy showed up (finally) to attend writing session in Chicago for Use Your Illusion and drove by the Metro where they were writing and he saw Axl chucking spaghetti out the 2nd floor window in a rage. He turned the car around and never stopped in. Pretty lame if you ask me.

Saw Andrew Bird at the Opera House. It isn't a great place for rock n' roll (kinda of like Auditorium imo). If any band can find away to rock at the Opera House, wilco can.

I received an email this morning from the Chicago Reader offering discounted tickets to the Chicago Rock Tour. Wilco sections leaves a bad taste in my mouth considering they are still using the loft as opposed to the other locations which aren't active... I went to the website and they are also using a cartoon image of Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco) on the site. Is it possible Wilco approves of this? How much does a 7" typically cost? I'm used to songs at $.99 - 1.29/ each and this is quite a bit more. Is that typical?
