dont_shoot_my_dog
i come from the sticks of souther West Virginia, and Don't Shoot My Dog! was just a redneck thing people would yell. i dunno, looking back it's kind of ridiculous but i've had it as a screenname for a few years now. imagine if the dudes on South Park were saying dont shoot my dog instead of "they took our jobs!" ....kinda like that. Lynch
I don't like my handle. I must have been in a hurry when I signed up or something. A combination of Uncle Tupelo and Golden Smog. I wish I could have come up with something a little more clever than that. Oh well.

I will try to think of a new name. I will change it later, as my computer at work is a slow, piece of shit.......not that I am ever on here during work hours. ikol
When I was in high school, some of my friends were on livejournal. I was eventually convinced to join so that I could antagonize and argue. I chose "ikol" for my username because it was "Loki" (Norse god of obnoxiousness) backwards. I kept the name when I joined VC for reasons obvious to anyone who was present back then. Drazil
maybe this is how Mitch Hedburg got his joke..... Fool in the Rain is my favorite Zeppelin tune and 97 is my fave #. There. My hotel doesn't have a 13th floor because of superstition, but come on man, people on the 14th floor, you know what floor you're really on. "What room are you in?" "1401" "No you're not! Jump out the window, you will die earlier!" Because 13 is an unlucky number, right? Well that's what the letter B should be right, because B looks like a scrunched together 13. "Hello, what is your name?" "Bob" "Get the fuck away!"

isadorah
when i was in college my email address was honeybee because Melissa is latin for honeybee (technically the latin is melisa). then i created a hotmail account and honeybee was taken and i didn't want to get clever with underscores or numbers to be honeybee2 or honey_bee. so i ditched the bee and went with isadorah. no numbers or special additions needed. isadorah was inspired from isadora duncan (the first woman to bring dignity to the stage, prior to her, most actresses and dancers were prostitutes) and isadorah of seville who was a nun in the medieval time period that had visions about how the world was created and other "scientific" theories on life. historians believe she suffered from the same mental illness that vincent van gogh was afflicted with. i've stuck with isadorah ever since. i pretty much have a corner on all things isadorah. if you ever see isadorah somewhere (with the h) it's me!
