Albert Tatlock
The Night Manager - Le Carre done with a James Bond budget and more time. Excellent so far.Trapped - murder afoot in Iceland
NoJ
I liked Witch more than Sullys Travels. Here's a fact for you-she was prego during the filming of ST.

Vacant Horizon
May have missed it...anyone watched Vinyl? Kind of interesting. They sure make a good case for the rise of punk...if inadvertently.
NoJ
Watched "Sleepaway Camp" last night. Wow, what a freaking twist! Highly recommended for those who enjoy bad B flicks. The payoff at the end is worth the slog through the film. Also, that may be the gayest slasher flick ever. Not one boob and plenty of boy skin. Totally weird.

Hixter
The Night Manager - Le Carre done with a James Bond budget and more time. Excellent so far.I'm really enjoying it.  Better Call Saul is in top form and The Walking Dead seems to have picked up steam. I'm also enjoying Hulu's miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's 11.22.63 and Game of Thrones is just around the corner. Lots of good television on offer these days.

Atticus
really disappointed with season 2 of Bosch. Â If you haven't read the books then it's probably a pretty good show. Â just hard to watch what a mangled mess it made of the book characters and stories. Â Â is there a way to watch the King alternate history think without being a full time Hulu subscriber? GtrPlyr
Been catching up on 11.22.63 over the past few days. It's been enjoyable so far. I was worried as television shows sourced from Stephen King novels don't always turn out so well (still recovering from Under the Dome, which thankfully I gave up on after season 2.)Â They shot a few scenes for the show down the street from my house. The butcher shop the Josh Duhamel character runs is right beside the clinic my girlfriend works at, and was an actual butcher shop that operated from 1947 to 2015.

Analogman
I was watching some old stuff - Herman's Head (1991-1994) and Life With Louie (1995-1998). Now, I am watching Happy Valley season 2, and also I watched Bosch season 2.
Albert Tatlock
Now, I am watching Happy Valley season 2.  Good stuff. New series of Line of Duty coming soon. The last series had an excellent performance from Keeley Hawkes (in that series only). It was between her and Sarah Lancashire from Happy Valley for the BAFTA last year. There should also be another series of The Missing soon (storyline unrelated to series 1). That is also recommended.
Analogman
I don't know if we get those anywhere here, old chap. Sarah was also in Last Tango in Halifax. Which I sort of watched, but not really. I wish Netflix or somewhere would run the episodes of Whitechapel I did not get to see.

NoJ
Low budget horror or sci fi flix. Some examples that would qualify are "attack of the mushroom people" or "the incredible melting man".

NoJ
Sure, that would qualify. So would "The thing with two heads" starring Rosie Greer.

NoJ
No, budget is way too big. It helps if the film is exploitive in some way as well. Also, the less redeeming qualities, the better. For example, see "Attack of the Giant Leeches". Or one of my personal favorites "Manos: Hands of Fate". I'm considering getting Torgo's tortured face tattooed on my back. Sir Stewart
Pee Wee's Big Holiday is wonderful. As a huge fan of his Big Adventure, I was floored that it managed to tap into that singular Pee Wee vein and maintain a fun/weird/jaunty vibe.
