I got my first electric guitar and Nevermind - on tape - for Christmas one year. I still love that album. The drum fills during In Bloom are just phenomenal. I think it's still as good as when it came out.

I purchased the video game Company of Heroes on Friday and it has now consumed my weekend. Just wondering if anyone else has checked this game out. Not what I would usually play (football) but it has been pretty entertaining.

Was it Grey Matter? It seems like the amount of wilco coverage in this town is quite little.

after giving Contiuum a couple more spins, I think Vultures takes the cake as my fave from that album. If anyone wants to hear some crafty guitar, check out Neon on his first EP (Inside Wants Out). Not the version on Room for Squares. This was one of the few things that made me give the guy a second chance. However, I agree with the Body is a Wonderland talk...yuck.

Upcoming Morning Becomes Eclectic Shows-KCRW

I agree. I saw him open for the Foo Fighters and was really digging him until he let loose this crapper. -
I dislike their band name with passion. I will, however, listen to this record.

forgive my not knowing, but who did the original?

yeah, with the new version I couldn't find the "nuclear" logo to burn the cd. Now it seems to be just a menu option and not a super-fancy button.

I used to hate this guy when he came onto the "scene." Then I saw him with Buddy Guy and thought he was pretty damn talented. I think he can play the hell out of the guitar and has a good knack for the blues and "sensitive" songwriting at the same time. Anyway...discuss his new album if anyone is so inclined. My intitial opinion is that it is quite good, but in some spots it seems that the jam at the end of the song is cut, which I would have like...oh oh the pop studio....

you can always count on one of the teams being babes.

That opening shot remind anyone of another wilco film....

I agree with the above mentioned problems with his website. I don't really like ryanadams.org either *sigh.

For Those of you with Prunes and Custard Pedal
a.miller replied to UrbanJesus's topic in Solid State Technology
I contaced Mr Crowther via the email address in the other Prunes & Custard thread and haven't heard back in more than a month. Just wondering if anyone knows of any place with it in stock. I'm heading to seattle in a week and if anyone knows of any guitar shops to visit that might have it, I'm all ears. edit: my point was that I can't seem to buy the damn thing anywhere. -
The real question is, where I find a poster of the dvd cover

I'm on my way over with a mask on like this: and carrying three empy guitar cases.

I'm still upset that my Chiefs looked not so good. Kind of a dirty hit on Trent Green if you as me...

Yeah, I think the band may have thought the song was done and then Jeff kept on going.

Two intimate Ryan Adams acoustic shows in London, UK

Lucky Bastid ( ). He hasn't even come to a state that borders mine. -
He is "different" with a "classic" sound. I guess I would scratch my head and make you a mix cd ( ). I started with Transistor Radio, which IMO has a more continuous feel to it. I then purchased his previous albums and got Post-War (his most recent). I like Post-War the best and Transistor Radio second. There are some great songs on all of his albums, I just like his last two in terms of cohesive feeling. Post-War has, by far, the most strings and other accompaniment than the other albums. edit: I recently made this playlist for my mother and a couple friends, which (I think) is a decent

I'll cast my vote for "Hey Jude" and "November Rain." Both good and lengthy.

Thanks for the advice and keep the suggestions coming. I'll post pics when I get back.
