  1. What else are you suppose to do if your period key breaks??
  2. Great review as always bbop. That's really too bad. I might have said this before but I heard Jeff play Having Been Is No Way To Be a few times before Warm came out, and there was always a laugh or woo from the audience. I figured that might just be because it was the first time a lot of people were hearing that song and didn't realize how heavy and serious that particular set of lyrics were. It's very uncomfortable to hear people react that way especially given how open Jeff has been about his experiences. Does this mean Jeff/the crew can tell which IP addresses the requests come from?
  3. Yeah, I saw this too, it was an out of left field mention. I also wonder if they were just making it up since... well, reality TV. I really hope if any VC'ers are going to living room shows or Loft tours, they ask Jeff about this!

    Warmer

Did I miss it or has Warmer not been officially announced from the Wilco / Jeff camp?? Make that three! Jeff is on the Minus 5 RSD release.
  5. Yikes. The nerve of these people. Last night there was someone bragging on social media about how much vodka they sneaked in... I can't help but wonder if it's related?

    Warmer

This confirms there definitely has to be a Warmest coming at some point, right??

    Warmer

It's a 10 song LP, according to a RSD post floating around social media.
  8. Yeah I booked my AirBnb as soon as the dates were announced, which I believe was more than a year in advance. The AirBnb host came back and upped his rates once he realized that was Solid Sound weekend.
  9. Let me rant about Bohemian Rhapsody. Spoilers ahead. It's not as bad as the Jimi Hendrix biopic but that's not saying much. I actually saw A Star Is Born recently too and I kind of wished I saw this first, it's blandness might have made me like ASIB more. The home version I saw also had the full Live Aid concert, which I don't really understand the point of, I guess if you've ever wanted to watch actors lip sync to Queen for 20 minutes than it was probably worthwhile. It failed to make Freddie a captivating, or even understandable character. Also, I don't feel like anyone who worked on this mo
  10. I can't watch this video outside of the US, can anyone recap what the joke was??
  11. Oh nice! That's great news, I figured they were due for a new one this year. Thanks for the recap, sounds like a good mini set.
  12. I'll echo the calls that Russian Doll is great. Has anyone watched the Netflix series Dogs? All the episodes are pretty great, but the second one had me in tears. Incredible documentary.
  13. Nope, our Adams is by all reports a good enough dude. Ryan Adams is all yours, America.
  14. Ahhh a European run to warm up before the soon to be announced 10 province, 3 territory Canadian tour. Yes, very smart.
  15. Yikes. We've always known he was an asshole. If you told me yesterday "TCP, tomorrow the New York Times will publish a takedown of a popular songwriter that own records of" I wouldn't even hesitate in guessing Ryan. But writing beautiful songs doesn't excuse abusive behaviour. It's all bad but the stuff with the underage girl is utterly unforgivable and disgusting. I wonder what happens from here? The music community has been way too forgiving to abusers.
  16. As a non-American and non-European, Discogs seems to be more US focused than any where else, in my experience. If you're looking at a US pressing of a record you should see mostly US sellers. I would trust a seller on Discogs much more than eBay. Discogs has a pretty good reputation system so (unless they're new) you'll know if someone is grading their records correctly, selling the correct pressing, and packing their albums properly. An eBay seller might be selling lots of non-record things, so they have a good rating, but they're not be experienced with records. eBay is also notorious for co
  17. Yeah it's with Nils, basically the Santa Monica Flyers lineup, they did a few Tonight's The Night songs last night, sounded great!
  18. Neil Young and Crazy Horse again tonight!
  19. Yeah that's where he's playing tonight. I will, thank you!
  20. It's warm out today! -21C/-5F... earlier this week with the windchill it was -51C/-60F. Now that was chilly!
  21. Neil Young and Crazy Horse. I've lived in Winnipeg for 6 weeks now and I'm already getting to see Neil play a home town show in a fairly small theatre. Nice!
