Watched Changeling a couple of nights ago. Started it at 8:30 thinking I'd watch 1/2 one night and finish it the next. No way I could turn it off! Damn it was a good movie. Disturbing, yet satisfying. Clint Eastwood has never heard the phrase "comic relief", and that's okay.

As a Vikings fan, I would like to concede the 2009 NFC North Championship to the Bears. It was a great season, but you deserve it. Now go get that Super Bowl.

I've heard several live performances and liked them all. I've only heard 1 or 2 tracks off the CD. It's been leaked, haven't listened yet. He's written some decent songs in the past 10 years, but none of his recorded work shows it. His studio work sounds very claustrophobic, redundant, and lacking in any dynamics. It's a shame. His work from Zen Arcade through Sugar is among my favorite music ever made.

I can understand that reaction, and even though I've only seen it once' I'm going to go out on a limb and say you might change your mind after repeated viewings. That's how I felt about Big Lebowski.

I am pretty moved at the though of Pete & Jeff playing together. I have a Children's concert from Seeger. My kids like to listen to it a lot. Dude is 90 and still playing. How cool is that?!

Lots, mostly because of other commitments or not wanting to fork over the $$. Recently Ben Folds just last week, Andrew Bird, Wilco (in West Des Moines, just a month after I saw them in Chicago), on and on...

W. meh. A few good scenes. My favorite moment was Rumsfeld eating Pecan Pie. While I don't doubt that Cheney feels the way he was portrayed in the "empire" speech, but I don't think he would've given it a room that included Powell.

Gish was excellent, Siamese Dream was darned good, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness had some decent songs but was overblown. That was almost 15 years ago. I wonder what would've become of them had they not reached arena-rock god status. My guess is they'd still be putting out some great music. Did anyone else like the Zwan CD?
