  1. Not entirely.....maybe he should consider joining the Eagles... LouieB
  2. I suppose it depends on how old you are... LouieB
  3. I should hope so...(best post of the day...) LouieB
  4. Hmmm..I have been through there a time or two. Might have to make a stop there sometime. LouieB
  5. Here is the schedule. A friend got me a ticket for the not free Herbie Hancock set tonight. I plan to go on Saturday night and maybe Friday. I screwed up the order of things here and won't make it on Sunday, which actually looks okay. As more and more old timers pass on, and other fests seem to get more money and attention, this fest doesn't always live up to past glory. Apparently the Orbert Davis program at Millenium Park brought in a crowd. I wish they had more events there, but we are back to Petrillo I guess. Anyone else going? See you Saturday and maybe Friday. LouieB
  6. I will be there. I have two individual tickets, so I think TG's mom gets the closer one and and I will be back in the cheaper (but at least in the) seats. LouieB
  7. Marvin Tate......when I saw him the other night he looked happy and healthy.....and he is playing guitar and keyboards behind him not bass....(Marvin has an album out that is pretty good by the way.....if Samorama gets on here I am sure she will post a link to where you can get it....) LouieB
  8. Admittedly I have only listened to the new disk once, but for a change they seem to have changed up the tempos and the arrangements and have produced something newish. Now if they would just figure out a way to get the three disks of outtakes, etc. to us in a reasonable fashion, that would be nice. LouieB
  9. Worst case of nerves ever.. Actually when she heard the question and had time to think about it (in retrospect of course) she was very articulate. Americans can be really dumb. I can name all states too....it really isn't that hard. LouieB
  10. There are times I can't really hear remastering that much in some versions, but I must admit, this one is better. This has always been a favorite of mine, well about 3/4 the songs anyway, the rest are sort of dogs (Brand New Pony is pretty lame.), but either way it is an improvement in the remastered version. I saw Dylan for the second time around the time this came out. The show I saw at the old Chicago Stadium wasn't even half full, but the band was smokin hot. LouieB
  11. Brian apparently went on an Atkins type diet a few years back and the guy is skinny as a rail. Kind of weird. LouieB
  12. Free lunch? How are away are you?? LouieB
  13. Someone was nice enough to make me a copy of this since I was there. LouieB
  14. The Skokie gig was fun. Not alot of people. Brian said he had never been in Skokie in his life, but had been in London too many times. Despite the small audience he played well. Looks like a new album is forthcoming and last nigth was the last time they were playing until after the first of the year. LouieB
  15. Nothing but a simple recommendation.....nothing to really "get over" in my opinion. LouieB
  16. They regularly check receipts and bags at Best Buy... LouieB
  17. The guys on Sound Opinions ripped this one a new one.....not that I care really..... LouieB
  18. There is alot to be said for the Whiskeytown material. LouieB
  19. Yes..before anything else. LouieB
