Luckily I have not seen it. I have seen parts of Mr. Lawrence, which is underwhelming too. Much of Bowie's film career is underwhelming (as is most of Jagger's film career too, with the exception of Performance); I think the guy needs to stick to singing...... LouieB

Aside from the fact that Rosie is obsessed with it, I think it stinks.....now if you want to talk about The Man who Fell to Earth...that's a different story. LouieB

Now I am confused..which album are we talking about?? We must be back to Orphans since Mule Variations is only 2 disks. LouieB

It was originally performed in costume at the Halloween show at the Auditorium. LouieB

Happy Birthday!!! LouieB -
Yea, those other two are okay.... Isn't Wonderin' actually written by Neil? It sounds like an old song (doo wop style) but I think he wrote it. LouieB

Agreed. See my posting above. While this isn't the worst Neil album, it is a concept album that doesn't entirely work. LouieB

I picked this up on vinyl years ago for $2. It is worth only slightly more. Entertaining but not among his best. LouieB
-
You have a point there...but I suspect that vinyl is now out of print. (This album has been the subject on one of the vinyl threads, since the used copy I picked up sounds far more used than it should.) LouieB

Yea...that too....and I have a soft spot in my heart for his first album too. LouieB

I think not......but this is exactly why they invented Google......give it a shot.....I tried GEMM and it isn't listed. If it had been released someone would currently be selling it I am sure. LouieB

Harvest Everybody Knows this is Nowhere On the Beach Harvest Moon Decade Tonights the Night After the Gold Rush Comes a Time We really should post Neil's albums to stay away from...there are many actually. LouieB

This is one I would like to hear also. Waiting for a used copy to cross my path. I suspect I am going to have to buy the new Andrew Bird new. LouieB

Make your kid wear it every day for three months and then it will be worth it.... LouieB

Traveling Wilburys albums to be reissued
LouieB replied to Col. Hapablap's topic in Someone Else's Song
Just plain stupid..... I like these albums okay, although the second album is inferior to the first. I just can't even imagine what they have that will help augment what was already released, since both albums are uneven at best (but fun none the less.) LouieB -
Go SIU!!!! LouieB

Ah yes I see, a new one on Bloodshot. That makes four albums he has released just since switching to Bloodshot. Prolific is right. LouieB
-
Funny!! I guess there are any number of funny things to say about my lack of an n in that sentence. LouieB
-
Are we talking about the live album here or something else?? I have had the live album for some weeks. Good stuff. Nice that Graham landed on Bloodshot. LouieB
-
Making it a main line to Elizabeth Cotten then... LouieB
-
Not paying attention I guess... LouieB

Old is right..... That was a brilliant idea I suppose, but of course only if you stacked them and then that supposedly wore them out faster if you did. Then you weren't supposed to stack LPs anymore and it messed you up because then you have to go get the other disk just to play side two of a four sided album. I still hate that. LouieB

You mean he didn't break this group up to form the Racantours?? LouieB
