  1. No, I could not wait to bust out the Dylan music but I'm waiting until at least next weekend to throw the tree up.
  2. She sure caught a ration of crap for that one didn't she? I remember Lou Reed saying something about how ridiculous it was that Madonna criticized her for this. And thanks for the thoughtful responses Uncool. I have found that most Christians I come into contact are willing to discuss these things rationally and I find it an interesting debate. Like you said; fun, enlightening and challenging!
  3. Finally broke this one out today, really enjoyed it and will be listening to it when I throw the tree up. I'm hoping it grows on the family.
  4. I find these types of debates very interesting for both sides of the argument. As an atheist, I just don't know how to debate or ask questions without coming across as a condescending tool. I really have no desire to offend or anger people on here so I tend not to weigh in on these things. Good old Neon does a great job of representing my views for the most part anyways. I guess what I am saying is please accept my questions in the spirit they are intended, honest and open and just wanting to understand. Heck, maybe with a compelling enough case I could be converted! I have all the usual q
  5. I used to play "The last in Line" in a couple bands back in the late 80's. Never had a singer that could do it justice like RJD. Vibes to him and his family.
  6. I have the Voodoo Labs power supply and have had 0 issues with it. I love it.
  7. I have never had such a feeling about a movie as with this one. I both really, really want to see it, and have no desire to see it. It's strange.
  8. I did not read the entire thing yet but it seems a main conclusion is that internal competition plays a big part in commercial success? Seems like that is only true if the musicians are competing to write the most popular "hits" and not just trying to write a song that will impress the other guy. Good songs and commercial success don't necessarily equate. I suppose the research looked at very popular groups like Beatles, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, etc...
  9. I still have a job Still married after 18 years and still very much in love Family is healthy - 2 great daughters Music, music, music My band practice room in the basement My band Sister in law doing all the cooking today Beer and Wine
  10. Is god responsible for rape, murder, war, poverty, and disease as well or just the good stuff? Ah hell, why did I have to say anything.
  11. I have been listening to this album every year since I was very little. Some odd songs on here, some of them very depressing. Not your normal happy christmas music but I love it.
  12. I love me some IPA, the hoppier the better. I try to drink local as much as possible as well, fortunately that includes: Boulder Beer, Oskar Blues, O'Dells, New Belgium, Left Hand, Avery, Twisted Pine, Mountain Sun...
  13. It seems much easier to get medical marijuana now than when Bush was in office.
  14. I can't believe I have never been to that site, thanks for the great link! Time to start buying.
  15. I'm starting to see more Mono boxes showing up. Both independent record stores I went to yesterday had them. I pointed that out to the wife in both cases (christmas hints...)
  16. I have always heard that "If you got no hi's and you got no lows, it's got to be Bose". Could just be a dumb rhyme but I have not really heard much good about them.
  17. Would this be the guy that's on the Keene Brotheres album with Robert Pollard I assume? I have been wanting that but they only had the vinyl at the local record store and $25 was too steep for me.
  18. I assumed someone had mentioned Wanda by now. She is actually teaming up with Jack White for something right now.
