  1. Where are you? I'm an attorney in MA, this is not my area of practice, but I know some attorneys here who do this kind of work.
  2. That Fenway show was not a very good one IMHO. First show back, crappy venue for music, etc. They crushed it the next week at Great Woods.
  3. My first show of 2012 was Camper Van and Cracker at The Middle East in Cambridge last night. They're making this an annual event over MLK weekend, but this was the first time I went. Camper Van has some great tunes, but still a little too much of a novelty act for me. It had been too long since I'd seen Cracker, and they did not disappoint. Love Johnny Hickman's guitar playing. From reading earlier posts here, this won't be a big endorsement for Tinnitus Photography, but Hickman's playing reminds me of Social D/Mike Ness. Another favorite of mine.
  4. I agree, excellent features writing in RS, national affairs desk, Taibbi, tv and sports pieces. At this point, I'm probably 75/25% in terms of reading the features/political coverage vs. music coverage.
  5. Disappointed about 2012, but WIlco took away alot of the pain by announcing the 2013 dates, so thank you Wilco for that! And, a drive to the Berkshires for a Wilco show in 2012 doesn't sound too bad to me either. Ready to go.
  6. Not in favor of a YHF box or any other sort of retrospective repackaging of previously released material, not right now. Something about having the band members spending time looking backwards when they're currently moving forward and putting out some of the best original works of their career strikes me as just plain wrong. But would love to see a live cd/dvd of current shows.
  7. Midway through this, a captivating imaginative story of a woman who suffers traumatic amnesia.
  8. I'm not in iPhone user, but am very interested in smartphones and smartphone technology and follow the industry pretty closely. Based on what I've seen and heard, you won't go wrong with a new iPhone 4-S. Everyone loves them. I'm a Windows Phone 7 fanatic, so I could go on about how that's the technology to get right now, but you mention that you are on Verizon, so I wouldn't recommend a Windows Phone for Verizon right now-Verizon still has only the first generation WP7 hardware. But, if you were interested to switch to AT&T, I would definitely tell you to strongly consider the HTC Tit
  9. I got tired pretty quickly of being yelled at by Grohl. And yes, to answer IRemember, I have no doubt I was the one person in the entire Garden who wasn't into it.
  10. Wish I could remember everything I've seen this year. But a pretty good year for live shows I'm sure. Caught 4 Wilco shows, all of which top my list. Jazz Fest, Solid Sound and Wang. Other highlights were everything at Jazz Fest second weekend, especially the Royal Family Ball late night with Soulive and Lettuce. And Arcade Fire was a big surprise. Warren Haynes Band at the Orpheum. Tedeschi Trucks at Harborlights. Phish at Great Woods. Furthur earlier in the year at the Orpheum. X at the Paradise on the Los Angeles tour, was great to see the 4 of them up on stage, it had been
  11. I'm not familiar with her music, but based on that photo I'm going to be soon.
  12. Happy New Year everybody! Stay safe. Thanks to Wilco for a fabulous 2011. I caught 4 shows (wish it were double that): Jazz Fest, Solid Sound (both nights) and Wang Theater/Boston. And of course, we got The Whole Love dropped on us. Not too shabby a year in Wilco World/Via Chicago. My first resolution for 2012: play more vinyl:
  13. Yeah, but Tweedy did that radio or tv interview during the England swing in the fall, and he made it very clear that maybe they will, but certainly maybe they won't in '12. Hard to believe there's a contract already in place for '12 based on his comments.
  14. Overall, good review of the live show. Very apt description of what it's like to experience Wilco live. Except, and it's a big except: the band are merely supporting actors in The Jeff Tweedy Show??? I can't go along with that concept. And I'm as big a Tweedy as the next person here (I frequently refer to my man crush on Tweedy when describing how important a songwriter and overall addition to the universe he is).
  15. I am still hopeful for an announcement about Solid Sound 2012. Maybe that's Wishful Thinking, but I'm hoping.
  16. Threw this on the big screen and pumped the audio threw the surround sound. 65 minutes on the treadmill made for my best workout of the week. (may be my only workout of the week, but that's another story)
