Hmm...I believe I predicted something like this in another thread. I'll leave it to someone else to look up my greatness. Maybe I can do the first two....but wow, this is amazing. Maybe I won't need to go to school for a few days in the middle of February.

There should be more than one Sigur Ros songs on there. Untitled 8 anyone? That song is epic.

The lead singer for The National kicked me in the face in Madison. He almost did it again in Milwaukee. I think he has it out for me. But go see them, especially since they're touring behing their best album yet.

^^ Love the badgers Mr. Lackey. Happy Birthday Brianne! Hope you have a lovely night.

Who's to say they aren't gearing up for something special in January? They're never ones to let down the homefolk. My prediction/beginning of wild rumors is they are going to do 5 shows at the Metro the week my semester starts.

Took me a minute to get the joke....AWESOME! I've never seen Shot in the Arm close out the main set. I like it there.

I have a recording, but the taper requested that it not be torrented. So, if anyone would like to do a B&P, I'd be more than happy to do it.

C'mon folks...let your nerd flags fly!!!

I went here with a bunch of my physics/meteorology major friends. -
So awesome. If I heard this at a pep ralley or whatever this is, I'd flip!

I doubt it's for SNL. If it's true, that means November 3, 2007 will be henceforth known as Wilcoday. They have their blistering ACL set premeiring that night and performing on a resurgant SNL. My Tivo will be notified. I hope you in the UK get your new dates very soon. I know how much it sucks to have a Wilco show cancelled on you. EDIT: Source that shows SNL already has a Nov. 3rd musical guest. There goes that suspicion.

This is how I'm spending my 21st birthday: 10am - Wake up 11am - Trip to the liquor store 11:15am - Watching my Badgers get anally penetrated by OSU 3pm - Trip to a bar to drown my sorrows of a terrible football season 5pm - Some type of dinner 7pm - Party my friends are throwing me (that I'm somehow not supposed to know about but they sent me an inviation via Facebook) 10pm - Stopping the party, putting ACL on in HD, and putting my 7.1 surround sound to good use Then again I may see Kevin Drew in Chicago and Tivo the ACL, but that looks like an (almost) awesome day

I wonder why Dan is conspicuously absent when they play Slow Descent into Alcoholism.... (and don't tell me it's because he doesn't have a part in the song; it was probably written about him for chrisakes) The show last night was impressive. Great mix of songs from all albums. I love seeing the NPs live because the energy and atmosphere is just fun. And that big flashy sign they have! That's sweet!

^^ The first album of theirs I listened to was Kid A, and it is, by far, my favorite album of all-time. OKC, Amnesiac, The Bends, and HTTT are all one tick below Kid A on my radar. Back on topic, I'm already saving up to catch every show on this tour. I could see this being their last tour on a large scale (ie, outside of England/Europe). I just hope they play bigger venues than their last go-round, but not in arenas/excessively large outdoor venues. But if Red Rocks is on the itinerary, I'm totally hitting that up.

10/16/07 Mershon Auditorium, Columbus, OH
virtualreason replied to Gobias Industries's topic in After The Show
GRRRRRRR to 13 and 19 above. But that looks awesome. Gonna be a great boot (hopefully). -
I like that the article paraphrases Tweedy as saying the touring will wrap up around Thanksgiving. BARRYMORE '07! (Officail Line Leader)

There is quite a dirth of artistic talent on this board. It looks awesome.

Usually I'm quick with the follow-up post, but I had an exam at 8:50 this morning (and I did A-OK); couple that with In Rainbows consuming my sparse free time today and you have this late post. All you Rave haters....whatever. It was an amazing show. I don't think I've seen the guys have so much fun on stage. Someone Else's Song...incredible, and Jeff has never, ever, ever sounded better. The solo shows this year are going to be the best he's done so far. And my god was Jeff gushing about the audience. He was very appreciative of our behavior. It was nice to meet Pamela and Rob and see Bri a

I hope I angered at least a couple of you to go...and for those of you who are coming, I'll be wearing my lucky green and white winter hat. My name is Matt; feel free to come up and say hi.

No no, the real question is whether it goes on sale at midnight London time worldwide or it staggers for each successive time zone....ay, there's the rub.

I don't see why everyone hates this place so much! No, it's not the best place in the world, nowhere near in fact, but it's still a place to see one of your favorite bands. Stop being a bunch of snobs, suck it up, and have some fun at a show.
-
It will be me and 3 friends as well. One of them my sister, one a Wilco fan that's never seen them live, and the other is someone I dragged with me to the Madison show and now can't get enough. It's going to be a fun night!

If anyone's hungry tonight before the show, stop by the diner across the street. I got suckered into taking a shift rather than seeing the show

The National Live - Should I Stay or Go?
virtualreason replied to auctioneer69's topic in Someone Else's Song
I agree with the frog-man above me. But, do go to see St. Vincent, the opening act. She's a virtuoso guitarist and a lot of fun to watch. -
I just streamed the first 2 songs....WOW. Best opening to an album this year. I think I'll make a trip to the Exclusive Co. after lunch.

White Stripes cancel ACL gig
virtualreason replied to countryfeedback's topic in Someone Else's Song
but in all seriousness..... I don't see the stripes being able to come back after this. This is what one may call career ending.
