Preferred B
5. Pot Kettle BlackHEY! 14. Who Were You Thinking of?One of my dreams is to hear this done by the full band. I still hold out hope! Sounds great, you guys! I can't wait to see pictures, etc. Jeff has really gone way above and beyond this year at all of these shows. As if he didn't previously. California Stars We should just note that both "Acuff Rose" and "California Stars" were played sans P.A. on the end of the stage. He was practically stepping on Erin's little sister. Geez, too many highlights to mention. I'm still not entirely sure whether I made the right choice with "Dreamer In My Dreams." "Monkey Mess" would've been pure solid gold The new songs sounded simply great acoustic, especially "Impossible Germany" which seems like it would be too electric heavy. Sue's pet name for "Hate It Here": "The Liar Song" I just have to thank Jeff and Sue for being so gracious about the whole thing. It's great to know that they love doing it (almost) as much as we loved being there. Jeff really seems to enjoy doing this and it makes it all the more enjoyable for everyone involved. I couldn't imagine doing all of this with Jeff in a bad mood or something. As M. Chris and Edie were pointing out for most of the night, I couldn't wipe the big stupid grin off my face, despite my best efforts. I just hope nobody got pictures of it, as I probably looked goofy as all hell. I'm going to put up my pictures (I took close to 70 during the weekend) when I get back home. For now, I am just going to rest in Chicago until my flight leaves tonight. I'm exhausted. But it was an awesome, awesome night. ("Who Were You Thinking Of" was one of the songs I'd never heard but it was hilarious!)
Chris_H_2
As I was telling people last night, when Jeff was singing Who Were You Thinking Of, he was singing it to Sue -- who was sitting right in front me. So I was right in Jeff's sight line. If you know or heard the lyrics to the song, you can imagine how awkward it was.

I was pretty much watching for Sue's reaction the whole time. That was great.

Chris_H_2
I wonder what the higher number is: the number of songs Jeff played or the number of Chris's there last night.
Jeremy
Were any of these shows taped?
bobbob1313
I think we had more Chris's than "nothin's" last night. And it was taped.
