twoshedsjackson
I have mixed feelings about this one. As great as this lineup sounds, I'd hate to see Wilco or MMJ have to play an abbreviated festival set. Also, I saw Dylan back around '90 and it was the single worst show I've ever attended. Rambling, incoherent mess. As a huge fan, it was a major dissapointment. Maybe that show was an anomaly, but it scared me off paying to see him again.Having said all that, I'd really hate to miss Wilco or MMJ. A short set is better than nothing. The ticket price will decide for me.
gatr9197
This is true...my source (who I reliable and works on the inside) says 4 acts to be on the tour (Dylan, MMJ, Wilco and TBD)...the only date I know of is South Florida and that date is after the end of the stones tour.....tickets going on sale next Sat. Some festival of some sort is what I am told. WOOOOOHOOOOOOO Who did you hear from regarding a South Florida date? We talking West Palm/ Ft Laud/ Miami or Naple/Fort Myers area? This would be the best news ever.... usually these guys skip Florida on these super tours
calvino
Toyota Park in Chicago News flash: Bob Dylan & His Band, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Richard Thompson - RT Electric Trio & more to tour North America this summer as "Americanarama Festival of Music". Details Monday Noon on Wilcoworld and beyond. Watch this space. #americanarama #toyotaparkchicago Bah! - the newly expanded Charter One would have been a much better choice. Nice line up, though -- MMJ doesn't do much for me, though - seen them twice, they were okay.
Turnips
speechless, what a lineup this is. Feeling like Toronto will be a sure thing but fingers crossed and double crossed for an outdoor venue I'm so giddy

Three dollars and 63 cents
The dates are up on Bob Dylan's website: http://www.bobdylan.com/us/upcoming-dates ETA: the dates have disappeared. I have a hunch somebody jumped the gun in posting them tonight. They'll be back tomorrow at noon if not sooner, though.
tennisclay
so how do you get all these bands in on one stage starting at 4 and getting done at 10, typical curfew. means Wilco and MMJ get 60-75 mins.
mountain bed
If it was like 10-12 years ago I would be pretty excited, but not now.

Magnetized
Looks like the Dylan website has pulled the info. sonnyfeeling
Yuck. Live Nation money run. I'm happy these bands can all get a nice payday, but I suspect we'll skip this run. The Denver venue is a hellhole with a 10PM curfew.

Magnetized
I think they're probably all hellholes compared to the sweet venues Wilco usually plays, but I'm not complaining. Also, this is my chance to conveniently drag my friends and family who think I'm insane and show them what's what! Actually, it will be interesting to hear from others on here who do know any of the venues, because I'd like to make a little roadtrip to see a couple more dates. I can certainly vouch for Meriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia MD as not being a dump.
twoshedsjackson
I'm torn between Bridgeport, CT and Mansfield, MA. About equidistant for us.I've never been to the venue in Bridgeprt, but the town itself is awful. Really awful. The venue in Mansfield is nice, but the parking lot is a nightmare. It can take over an hour to get out after a show.Again , hopefully the ticket prices will be reasonable.
linclink
The shows are now up on the Wilco website & you can make your requests there now...Well I'm in for Toronto for sure!!...although I know it probably means about 45 minutes for Richard Thompson Electric Trio &, if we're lucky, 75 minutes for Wilco...but that'll do for me (that's nearly 2 hours which is close to the length of when plays a full headlining set- usually 2 & 1/4 hours...and if it's short it'd be an hour & 45 minutes for both combined, which just makes it for me...).I'll have to see how long Wilco is playing for, how much they are mixing up their setlists etc. before I decide about Darien Lake on July 18th. Normally I'd most likely be in...but...it's the first night of the Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg, NY (opposite direction from there, so harder to do both, but possible...) & I absolutely detest that venue. If tickets are cheaper I might consider it, or if real cheap ones pop up near show time...but I'm betting I'll end up at Grassroots instead. I'm already missing part of Saturday night there to catch Steely Dan in Canandaigua, NY (near to Trumansburg, so I can do both on that night & just leave for Steely Dan when needed) & I'm going to both the Nelsonville Fest & Solid Sound & the Toronto show for this, so if I have to miss the Darien show, at a terrible venue, it'll be OK...I've seen Dylan a number of times, & personally only saw one real sub-par show (& it was OK not bad), but I've seen footage & heard reports from fellow fans/friends & can say he is truly a hit & miss proposal at this point...luckily I saw a great hit show in Canandaigua, NY a few years ago (got free tickets from a friend for me & a buddy if we went & got rid of another few tickets for folks that couldn't go)...figured it would be my last for sure, so this is nice, but an unknown with him...hoping to be pleasantly surprised again...My Morning Jacket sits alongside The Nation, The Avett Brothers, Mumford & Sons, Michael Franti, etc. ...as a band that loads of folks I know love, but, who for me, don't really do much of anything special. I don't dislike the aforementioned, but while I like some of any of their stuff, I don't love it, wouldn't go out of my way for it, etc.... maybe they'll move me more live...again hoping to be pleasantly surprised...
