  1. I love my iPhone, and at this point I've bought enough apps I'll probably never switch to Android, but I really wish Apple would make a phone with a MicroSD input.
  2. How does that work with cell service? Up here, in cities you'd be fine, but highways between cities generally have large pockets with poor service or no service at all. Which is the times I need my iPod more than ever.
  3. I somehow never owned this on CD. What's the insert like?
  4. I didn't realize Jeff was made up of 75% hands. Just poking fun, I quite like it!
  5. Great recap as always, Paul. Sounds like a great show, even if the crowd was bashing a Canadian city! My wedding song! And here I was thinking I was so original.
  6. The new Jicks album is called Sparkle Hard, comes out May 18th (same day as Courtney Barnett, calm down May!!) and has an awesome new single called Shiggy.
  7. Exciting, I had forgotten this was a thing. Usually I advocate for reading a book (you know, with your eyes), but if there's an audio book read by Jeff, I think that might be the best way to go.
  8. Yeah I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Doesn't feel like much of a songwriter's album. But, at this stage of his career I guess I'd rather he do music that not everyone is into than making an album of songs slightly worse than his last record. There's some fun music on it, but also a few too many spoken word passages.
  9. Currently watching this: Not sure how to describe it. It's interesting. The music is pretty good, except the first song sounds suspiciously like War of Man. Otherwise I'm not sure what's going on and I don't know if Daryl and Neil did either when they shot it.
  10. As one of the Queen's loyal subjects, I can't help but think this is pretty cool and long past due.
  11. Out in the Storm is a great album and Katie writes great songs. Check out her Jason Molina covers with my boy Kevin Morby, they sound great together.
  12. I've never really played much attention to David Byrne/Talking Heads before, but I'll be seeing him live this summer at Sasquatch. I have to say, I quite like this song.
  13. I have a repressing of it from a 2014 that includes a lyric poster as per the original pressing. A lot of care went into these new repressings to make them as faithful to the originals as possible (at least when they first came out in a boxset, not sure about the individual copies sitting on store shelves now), such as the floral pattern inside On The Beach's cover.
  14. I had never heard of that festival, but it's fairly nearish where my wife's dad lives, and it's on a long weekend here in BC, so I grabbed my tickets last night. Here's hoping Mavis and Jeff play the same day and can share the stage!
  15. The weird thing is she has a bachelors in fine arts from Emily Carr, a fairly prestigious art school in Vancouver.

    A.M. Deluxe?

That's exciting. The '88 demo of No Depression (the song) is still the best version, IMO.
  17. You're not wrong, we have been spoiled!! Jeff's been on one of his most prolific runs in his career. 2014: Sukierae (a double album!!) 2015: Star Wars 2016: Schmilco 2017: If All I Was Was Black (bonus: Together At Last) Not only is that four album's worth of original JT songs in four years, it's also, IMHO, his best four album stretch in a long time. So I'd be very understanding and supporting if he wants to take a break for most of the year. *puts on tinfoil hat* But something tells me we're getting another Tweedy album. His solo 2018 announced shows all suspiciously fall just outside of a c

    A.M. Deluxe?

Looks like you were right! In the leaked RSD listing, Wilco Live At The Troubadour is listed.
  19. I just want to direct everyone to this article: Despite all their rage, Smashing Pumpkins' tour isn't selling well, which has an incredible opening line (plus a random appearance from a former VC admin!). I guess it's true what they say.... you either a die a rock hero or live long enough to start talking about shape shifters on Infowars and Joe Rogan.
  20. Neil Young Details New Tonight’s the Night Live Album Count me in.
  21. Apparently Kim and Kelley Deal are singing backup. Great tune! Can't wait to hear more.
