i just did comparison between the 128 rip and FLAC version, via headphones. not all that much of a difference, to be honest. the FLAC version was a bit fuller, for sure. but it wasn't black and white to me.

the stream sounds good...ilstening on my headphones right now (Sennheiser 580s). i wonder what bit rate it's streaming at. and i wonder what Atticus thinks of the new record.

was thinking a mellow DBT song myself. very strong record, excellent recording quality. "capitol city" is the weakest track so far but it's not offensive by any stretch. let's hear some more Nels wigouts, though.

i didn't see the tour, but Mogwai opening for either Pavement or The Cure would have been great. in their career, those are the only two times they've been an opening band on tour.

don't forget when they did the minor league baseball tour and the scoreboard had their names and positions on it. that was cool.

the stream sounds great...i've got a laptop hooked to my main system and am surprised at how good it is sounding (assume it's a 128 compressed stream)... the songs are strong...i have never been bowled over by any particular Jicks LP but this might be the first.

i'm sure the pews will be packed w/ TRUE BELIEVERS.

just back from Six Organs of Admittance. wonderful show. Ben was in top form. and i found out he's living in western MA now, so hopefully shows will be more plentiful.
