  1. It was a fun series to watch. It would have been more fun in my house if the Indians had won. Not a Cubs fan to be found in my immediate family.
  2. I am looking forward to seeing that in the ginormous airplane-hanger-sized gallery.
  3. With 237 days until Solid Sound, I am going to begin to delve deeper into the artists who have a connection to Wilco who have not yet played the festival (bands who have stopped by the Loft, bands who have recently opened for Wilco, bands on Wilco's Spotify list, etc.). Courtney Barnett, Steve Gunn, Kevin Morby, Big Thief, Kacy & Clayton - all part of this fall and winter's listening.
  4. I'm Always in Love - love this version! In fact, I am digging the reworked Heavy Metal Drummer, too (not a favorite of mine).
  5. Sounded and looked lovely. The keyboards were amazing in Pot Kettle Black, as noted earlier. I thought the Scmilco songs sounded much more fleshed out live; they had a little meat to them, thanks to Nels.
  6. Lots of bandwagon Cubs fans out there. Should be a good series.
  7. ^^^^Very cool. First time I saw them, they were outstanding. Second time, ok. I treasure the memories of the former.
  8. Lineup predictions/wishes: The Lemon Twigs, Okkervil River, Savoy Motel, and The Jayhawks.
  9. I'd be surprised if we got a Covers II night at SS V (or is it 5?). Maybe a fan vote for which album to play straight through on Friday night, and we find out which one wins then, so it is a surprise?
  10. Before that grand slam, Joe Maddon was looking like a coach who could not make a good decision if his life depended on it. He took out Lester early, smoked through his bullpen in the 7th and 8th, including his closer, and all it got him was a 3-1 lead that turned into a 3-3 tie. He had 3 pitchers left, and if it went to extras, the Cubbies were probably toast. That grand slam saved his butt.
  11. Bullpen use is certainly changing in the postseason. I suppose no manager wants to be the next Buck Showalter.
  12. That Texas sniper story scared the crap out of me as a kid. I remember seeing a made-for-tv movie on it. Frightening.
  13. Sure seemed like they ran out of gas in all phases of the game - pitching, hitting, even their defense - all were substandard. They appeared out of sync. Maybe a dose of credit should go to the Tribe for that, as they pitched, hit, and fielded well.
  14. My orange vinyl mix is sounding just fine. Did not know that black vinyl generally provides a better sound quality, however. I'll be purchasing black vinyl from now on I think.
  15. Just locked in a 7 bedroom house that is 40 minutes away in Pittsfield. We have 7 adults and 4-7 kids going so our usual VIllager Motel in Williamstown wasn't going to be viable (just too many of us). We have the house Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. I am looking forward to coming into the area a day early; I did that in 2011, and it was great to get settled in before Friday. Hoping for a Steeple Cats home game on the Thursday night - I dig watching New England Collegiate Baseball League games.
  16. Agreed. I watched just over 5 minutes of Debate #2. I am embarrassed to live in a country that has these two as the final candidates for President. As an educator, it is clear that Trump's behavior is worse than a kindergartener. No teacher would put up with it from 5-year-olds, so why do the moderators? Seriously, if a candidate interrupts, you give them a warning that they will lose their alloted time. If they interrupt again, they lose some time to speak. If they keep doing it, they lose more. After the fifth time or so, you give a final warning. The next interruption, you remove the candid
