    I am not a Yankees fan, but I think they made the right moves. They needed to get younger and reload for the future since their 2016 team was going nowhere. I'd bet they'd have loved to unload a few others but their contracts were barriers to moving them (CC, Teixeira, A-Rod, etc.). Cashman did well.

    That was well-written. I loved this line: "It’s hard to think of another tour this summer that’s as friendly to families as it is to psychedelic users. Besides national parks, there aren’t many institutions that serve both. But unlike members of the Grateful Dead, national parks don’t go on tour."

    Another vote for Sky Blue Sky - the song and the whole record. Really got into that record in the summer of '07, when I saw them play at the Shelburne Museum in VT.

    Can't say that I imagined a Wilco tour in 2016 that features static set lists.

    Okkervil River was really, really good. They played their upcoming album - Away - straight through (its debut, no less). With only one song out there for people to hear (Okkervil River RIP), it was a gamble to play 10-11 songs that no one knows. I was mesmerized through most of the new songs. Best $20 I've spent this year. The sleeper concert of the summer for me.

    I wonder if they took it down for a while because they plan to play a fairly static set for the present and near future. Not going to use ---> no need to have it. Then they'll bring it back to our great joy and relief sometime in the future.
