I was scared out of my shorts by the roulette scene in The Deer Hunter. That movie is so damn intense. I did not know that Thunderbolt and Lightfoot was a Cimino movie as well. An overlooked gem.

I saw them for the first time on their reunion tour in 84 when Perry and Whitford returned to the band - they called it Back in the Saddle. They could rock it out for sure.

I have been a registered independent since I started voting in 1986. I have voted for candidates from both parties in the past 30 years, though more Democrats than Republicans overall. I like to think that I vote the best candidate for our country (state, town, etc.). Susan Collins, Republican Senator from my state - got my vote. She was a much better choice than her opponents the past elections. She leads, she compromises when necessary, she listens, she values her role as a legislator. That is a well-written review. I did not see them this tour, but that review provided a pretty good snapshot.

I wonder if we will get an announcement for SS5 this coming week, as it will be a year since the last SS and possibly a year until the next (if it is June 23-25, 2017).

I realize it is a small thing in the bigger picture of who is best to be the chief executive, but I have a hard time listening to Hillary Clinton's voice. It is so raspy that it is painful to listen to her. And when she gets wound up, raspy turns strident and it is even worse. I wish she would be calmer in her approach - I could stay with her speeches longer. The bigger picture - she is not an idiot. So she'll get my vote.

I don't think you are a crypto-racist if you vote for Donald Trump. I think you are voting for a racist if you vote for Donald Trump. And I think many people who are not racist are going to vote for a racist.

....and I'll take it. I agree - in 8 years, we'll look back fondly on the times when SW was played in full to start a show. And people new to the band will say, "You saw them play SW straight through? That's great!"
