    The first time they played it in the car, I had the same reaction. Her version is pretty good - she definitely puts her stamp on it. Not as good as the original though (obviously).

    My three teen daughters were floored when they learned that Lorde's Swinging Party was a cover of a Replacements song.

    My neighbor went in September for a week, with a US agricultural delegation (Commerce Dept., I think). He was on assignment for a farming magazine, took 5000 pictures and wrote an article for them. He stayed at the Hotel Nationale, ran into the Iranian Foreign Minister, got up early in the morning to take pictures around Havana, etc. He loved it. He also reported feeling super safe.

    Two bands that I hope will play at SS in June, The Lemon Twigs and Savoy Motel, just announced a joint tour for February/March. One can hope....

    Rodriguez is playing Concord, NH on the 21st and Portland, ME on the 25th, with nothing in between. Friday night at Solid Sound fits right in the middle of these two dates.

    Don't get your hopes up - this is not a post to say that early bird tickets have been announced. However, two years ago, on December 5th, early bird 3-day passes went on sale. They announced it on December 3rd. $124 was the early bird price, and $50 for kids passes. Four years ago, $99 was the early bird price. Let's keep our fingers crossed that an announcement comes this week or next for ticket sales!

    Listened to this last night - the solid show that I remember. I did forget how hyped up the crowd was for a Wednesday night show. I love general admission shows.

    Good number crunching there. It has been a set list staple since Summerteeth was released. I am sure some folks on this board can remember a time when it rotated out of the set list for a time; I cannot recall it, though.
