  1. www.vhnd.com has a video w/ DLR on the situation.
  2. Postponed is better than cancelled. I bet they play the gigs eventually.
  3. The 2009 show also took place at a time of year when more tourists would be in FL - spring break etc. I was one of them and took in that show. I just compared the setlists from last night and 2009 and Wilco did a great job mixing it up. Very few repeats.
  4. Funny that Grand Sierra Theater calls out "Box Full of Letters" and (although not surprising given the venue) "Casino Queen" as their hits - both from 17 years ago and not as recognizable as other Wilco songs. "Indie veterans Wilco are returning to Reno for the first time since 2009! Almost a year after releasing their 8th studio album “The Whole Love,” this Chicago-born band will play hits like “Box Full of Letters” and “Casino Queen” inside the Grand Theatre at Grand Sierra Resort. Tickets are just $39.50 and opening bands will be announced at a later date. "
  5. The 3 songs from one album stretches continue - opening with three whole love right into three Ghost and ending with three being there. Nice.
  6. Shaping up... Greek Berkeley Sept 21 Greek Berkeley Sept 22 Grand Sierra Theater Reno Sept 23 Hollywood Bowl LA Sept 30 Reno's venue looks very formal. Anyone every been?
  7. Really enjoyed Wilco's set at Sloss. Unique experience there. Great sight lines, people watching and sounds! Loved hearing Monday. The count in on that is just so enjoyable!
  8. Figures the first time I ever have a front row seat for a Wilco show, it is 20+ feet from the lip of the stage. 48th time seeing the band. At the bottom of the list as far as venues I've seen them. Wilco played really well. I was worried about the energy after seeing a big change in the energy of opening band, Purling Hiss from the prior night. Wilco are pro's and did just fine, even in the strange venue in the middle of downtown Jackson where nothing is going on. I mean nothing besides a huge wedding and the Wilco show. Probably due to the fact that it was a weekend I guess?? It was a 3pk n
  9. I'm going to have to call understatement on " I play several different guitars during a concert" !!
  10. Old 97's @ Cubby Bear in Chicago. First time seeing them.
  11. From wilco email: Tickets go on sale this coming Fri/Sat for Wolf Trap x2, Charlottesville, Brooklyn Prospect Park x2, & the guys headlining the Hollywood Bowl for the first time ever.
  12. I am with you. Sounds awful to me too. The Grammy performance is really what made me realize that...
  13. Looks like Mavis is playing Milwaukee tonight, I woke up wondering if a reprise of The Weight given Levon's passing was in order.
  14. Do we know who is opening May 10 - 19 in the US?
  15. Myles is in Alter Bridge (Creed without Scott S) and is Slash's lead singer on his latest solo album and Slash's last tour.
  16. It really can go both ways. Usually the crowd is encouraged to get on their feet midway through the main set by the band if they already aren't there. There is always a lot of talk on this board about standing vs sitting... Good news for Jackson: It is a Saturday night (people typically let loose a little more) and I have a ticket in the front row and will be standing (domino effect).
  17. I think that is a great idea. What a mess that letter is.
  18. ha - seemed to good to be true, but I laughed when I saw on that web site: "FREE - YES FREE - REALLY" The Chris Robinson Brotherhood site says it is free too. Do you think Chris will sing Casino Queen with them like he did a few times in 1995?
  19. The lineup was announced in the last 24 hours. Any reactions? I'm not overly excited by RHCP headlining again, but there are some good acts. Would love to see Sabbath in this setting, Jack White could be great (amazing that he goes solo and gets headliner billing when the Raconteurs were on in the middle of the day when they played), Dawes, Tune yard, head/heart, Dr Dog (played before), Walkman (played before) but then I really don't know...
  20. 21. Duluth and Rochester are now posted as well. There are still gaps in the schedule. Even on the early part of this run, there are gaps between Red Rocks and ID and then between MT and MN. I also wonder why they are not showing the Hangout Festival on their site.
