  1. Hadn't seen that before. Thanks for sharing.
  2. $50 is a great deal! I'm sure we won't get a full Wilco set, but Wilco charges $50 alone not even considering the other bands on the bill over the two days.
  3. XRT announced it and hideoutchicago.com confirms. Wilco is playing!!! Hideout Block Party Sept 14-15
  4. Surprised by: Chains Recording devices but, even without those, still looking forward to the show!
  5. You are the first person I've seen who likes Glad It's Over. IMO, worst song in the catalog. Now, the thanks I get....great song.
  6. Looks like a great setlist for a weeknight gig at venue with that name: No Art of Almost Black Moon in the #2 slot, Hesitating Beauty, Sky Blue Sky, One By One - seems very chill
  7. Soon to be heard while out and about (Well, Loose Fur anyway) : the movie 'People Like Us' features The Ruling Class. Sounds like a good movie. More on the music in the movie here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/la-et-0626-phair-rahman-20120626,0,2430515.story
  8. I don't know... They played a lot of Yankee on the Ghost tour. They played a lot of Ghost on the Sky Blue Sky Tour. They played Your Are My Face, Hate it Here, and Walken a lot on the WTA tour. This exclusion of WTA seems to be the exception to me.
  9. John seems annoyed by the bunny ears thing Jay was doing to the interviewer. It was pretty obnoxious.
  10. Thanks for the info. I went on Crowebase to check out that show, love the following comments from a taper there:"the gentleman at the door, and upon seeing taping equipment in the bag his memory was jogged and he quickly ushered us in to the hall adding, “They told us not to bust y’all…so if you wanna puff, go for it!”"
  11. Tucson venue looks pretty questionable. Anyone been there?
  12. There were a lot of people taking in the set. I bet he drew a fair amount, but the festival itself draws in most folks. Certainly there were way more people checking it out than would have seen CRB perform at Lincoln Hall again.
  13. Yes. It was a great time. You can't really beat the setup (oh wait - Sioux Falls). $10 to watch a 2 hour show. Great weather too. Came out to Let's Go Let's Go Let's go and were grooving until the power went out in the middle of the song. After a 5-10 minute break they came back out and played a solid set. Couple covers, couple NEM songs made for a fun set. I did find myself wishing that all the originals weren't so generic in their structure where there is a breakdown in the middle of the song before it builds back up again. Set included: Let's Go, Tomorrow Blues, Star or Stone, Tumblewee
  14. Thought this deserved a posting. Wilco is overseas Aug 10/11. from chicagotribune.com: " Greg Kot Music critic 11:35 a.m. CDT, June 13, 2012 Lounge Ax, the late, great Lincoln Avenue rock club that hosted countless indie-rock stalwarts during the '90s before its demise in 2000, will throw a retrospective party Aug. 10-11 that will reunite some of the regulars, personalities and bands who made the venue such a key part of the decade's music scene. The co-owners of the club, Sue Miller Tweedy and Julia Adams, will host the Lounge Ax Retrospective at saki, 3716 W. Fullerton, a Logan Squa
  15. Graphic on Wilco's shows page indicating that Brooklyn shows are "nearing sell-out". That's a lot of folks going to a show Monday and Tuesday!
  16. Covers: Blue Suede Shoes Girl I Love You Bright Lights Big City
  17. I picked up CRB yesterday. Love it. The dead are all over this thing. I got the bonus cd too by buying at an independent store which is neat. Anyway, it is still sinking in. I haven't heard any of these songs prior to yesterday, but the initial listen was awesome. The packaging is really week - they didn't even put the title or band name on the binding!
  18. I'm going to the Chicago show too, but I think you can beat it! They are opening for Wilco and the concert is free! July 7th in Sioux Falls.
  19. I'm a fan of switching up the setlist, but I don't want Wilco to turn their setlists into an American Idol contest.
  20. I don't think so. Ian came into the fold after Izzy had stopped touring. He really only did one tour for the initial album and then a short Japan tour for Ride On.
  21. So strange, but that isn't a new policy... Izzy Stradlin joined the band on stage at the gig last night. That would have been really fun to see. Izzy was always my favorite. Great songwriter. He first 4 solo cds are really good.
  22. Trying to read that setlist - tough. Maybe: ? War on War I Might Country Disappeared California Stars Whole Love Born Alone Heavy Metal Drummer Dawned on Me
