jw harding
Uh, yeah, looks like I'm seeing Neil Young in Chicago this summer, which is nice.
NoJ
Hey JW, where's he playing? I cant locate any info
bumpyjonas
St. Louis, Detroit, Chicago, Boston www.neilyoungarchives.com
calvino
He is playing the Auditorium Theater in Chicago. Cheap seats are priced right at $30 -- but those seats are so high up, it like you are on top of Sears Tower looking down. I sat up there for a Wilco show - man they never looked so small. The sound was bad, too.
Shug
Solo acoustic dates in those four cities. https://www.jambase.com/article/neil-young-announces-summer-2018-solo-acoustic-dates plus these three festivals with Promise of the Real https://www.pollstar.com/artist/neil-young-19170?tab=upcomingDates&page=

tinnitus photography
i had 4th row tickets in my cart until i realized i'm out of town that night. dammit.
uncool2pillow
That Chicago show is tempting. It's about a 20-minute walk from my friend's place.
Madcap
got singles for both of the shows in the mid-priced range. A little bummed it's not with CH or POTR, but I can't complain too much about seeing Neil this summer!

NoJ
Speaking of NY, I picked up the vinyl version of Zuma this morning for $3 and I found $10 on the sidewalk.
tinnitus photography
Speaking of NY, I picked up the vinyl version of Zuma this morning for $3 and I found $10 on the sidewalk. Total score. Sometimes I think that “Danger Bird” is his best song.
NoJ
You may be right. Danger Bird on "Year of the Horse" is a freakin' monster. There's something about how Crazy Horse commands the low end of the sonic spectrum. Really hits my sweet spot.
NoJ
Also, I dreamt last night that I was in Neil's new movie with Darryl Hannah. One of those low budget dreams I guess....

EMF
Caught Neil and POTR at the Cap last night. Great show, cost me about twice as much as I paid for 3 Wilco shows, but worth every penny. Shug
Yeah, I love that they played Albuquerque! I thought, based on Lukas Nelson's comments in an interview early in the year, that they were gonna do a full summer tour. You can't count on anything for sure with Neil until its official, though. Maybe it was a pipe dream or never planned in the first place, but I am itching to get to see them again after the barnburner I saw exactly two years ago this week in Tucson. Must've been great at the Cap in Port Chester!
makeshift
I dig neil with POTR, but lose the bongo guy. Please
jw harding
It's fun to hate on bongo guy. I find him pretty easy to ignore. Superfluous but really doesn't detract from the music.

Had tickets to the Crazy Horse Cap show that was cancelled a few years back so I was totally psyched that he sorta kinda re-scheduled. If you have access to dimeadozen there is an ok recording: http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=631538
Jimbo Jones
https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/neil-young-songs-for-judy/ I didn’t even know this was coming out. I have all of it on various bootlegs, but I will definitely be picking this up.
