Hixter
I've only bought it five times. I guess we will see about the new Wilco album. I actually got it today - but left it with someone I work with and forgot it bring it home.I just remembered a DVD/Bluray or two of live performances of Quadrophenia. I've also seen it performed lived about a dozen times over the last 20 years. Amazon will deliver my copy of Star Wars tomorrow. I tried to find it at Target, but no luck. Analogman
I never shop at Target - or seldom ever. I don't think they even have cds at the one where I live. I could have went to Barnes and Noble and paid 25 dollars for it. LOL
LouieB
The packaging on Star Wars is pretty lame, with the exception of the great art work based on the cheesy cat picture. Nice work by the artists on that. LouieB
worldrecordplayer
As for the packaging, love the photo of the band in the Loft.
junkiesmile
Don't have an issue with the packaging and the cd sounds soooo good compared to the dowload. There's a depth and richness that wasn't there before.
mus2009
The 2nd Wilco lp sharing the name with a famous movie
LouieB
Really?? The pic also appears on the inside of the sleeves too, for some reason. LouieB
GtrPlyr
Really?? Being There was the first one.
LouieB
I knew that, obviously. Doesn't everyone here know that?? LouieB
Magnetized
I knew that, obviously. Doesn't everyone here know that?? LouieBCould be that some of the young'uns have never heard of the movie or book.
LouieB
You are right. The person who said this is in their 20s. I guess I should have left this one alone. I saw the movie on first run in the (gasp) theater and was a Peter Sellers fan. LouieB
mus2009
Ha. . I brought it up last night because while preparing to move, I found a dvd copy of Being There. Probably haven't watched it in 10 years. I was a bit young to see it in theaters back in '
BobDylan'sBeard
Funny, my father mentioned that movie to me the other night. Really a great flick, though I must confess I knew the Wilco album before I knew the movie.
LouieB
The movie is excellent, or I remember it as being,so as well as having seen it a few more times over the years. It somehow seems like it would resonate even now, what with a bunch of idiots running for president. LouieB
lost highway
I understand, Louie. I understand.
Alien Ache
i would hope like some of Wilco's vinyl releases a cd would be included. I hope not in this case! I couldn't wait for the vinyl so I went out and picked up a copy of the CD from Barnes & Noble. I have no use for TWO CD's!
LouieB
I have bought so many extra copies of the CD/vinyl/CD that I guess it doesn't matter any more. I just hope the 30 some minute Star Wars isn't 30 bucks though. LouieB
uncool2pillow
Being There was the first one.I wondered when SW (the album) was first released, whether maybe the movie was released the same day as BT (the movie) or if there was some other connection between the movies that explained the reason for the title. (Wouldn't a memoir be a dream come true??)For super fans maybe. It would probably be pretty tame to the general public. Jeff seems to level headed to create the kind of drama that would attract the masses.

I meant more like a peek inside the creative mind. Yes, there would probably be about 100 people who would find this endlessly fascinating--and I'm one of them. Moss
I bought Quadrophenia 3 times. But Zeppelin IV 5 times
