  1. Hide your soft skin Your sorrow is sunshine Listen to my eyes
  2. Merch table was hopping ( at least between NL and Wilco) and they were accepting credit cards.
  3. Thx for the setlist, bbop. Maybe we'll get "One Sunday Morning" for the encore tonight. "Poor Places" > "Reservations" was fantastic. I was half expecting "Spiders" next, too, and was just as happy with "BBN". There's a good chance I'm wrong but I don't think Jeff addressed the crowd until they were 9 songs in, following "She's A Jar", to joke about the flubbed lyrics. It was a great pace. "Art of Almost" as the opener was perfect. Loved how Jeff starts off on vocals only, clutching his mic stand, shuffling/weaving between lines. Not sure what the person just in front of Jeff was
  4. How To Fight Loneliness Ashes of American Flags Company In My Back Hotel Arizona I'm Always In Love Sunken Treasure Via Chicago She's A Jar Hell is Chrome Laminated Cat
  5. "I'm a spirit dove, I'm looking for your love"
  6. I second that shoutout. We've got some of his SS2 photos up in our apartment. Really great stuff.
  7. I requested it for both Massey Hall shows. Right now "OSM" and "Whole Love" are my favourite tracks. Opposite ends of the emotional spectrum. And I love how one follows the other to bring the record to a close.
  8. Several listens in, this is exactly how I feel. Yes, and I can't stop listening to it. Jeff has never sounded better.
  9. Me, too! I hope your's is going well. Great story. If you finished a half last month in under 2h under tough conditions, I think you'll do fine. I've been running since first year university, after having put on the "freshman 15." I was never a good runner and always had to train really hard just to be mediocre. Never did attain my sub-4 goal (did I mention I'm a mediocre runner!) but had a lot of fun trying. Good luck next month. Which race?
  10. Check out Jeff's second show at the Vic this year. Great version of "Spiders"
  11. And from the West! "...it's hard to be a good man listening to the Drive-By Truckers"
  12. Just got home from the MMJ show at the Orpheum. Total heaviosity! Most of the new stuff was pretty good live. But it was the pre-"Evil Urges" stuff (with the exception of "Smokin' From Shootin'" and "I'm Amazed") that made the show.
  13. When the crowd kept "Radio Cure" alive when lightning (?) temporarily took out the PA and lights Friday night.
  14. Thanks for the setlist, u2roolz and bbop! This was the highlight of the night for me, love the full band version. "Hotel AZ" was a close second! I think there's a pretty good chance we won't hear any repeats tonight. Stay dry everyone!
  15. I think this is where not having a very sophisticated ear when it comes to production actually works for me! I love "At Dawn" and "The Tennessee Fire", the records that seem to draw the most criticism regarding production/sound. There are only 3 or 4 songs on "Circuital" that I really like and don't skip. I hope that this will change after hearing some of the others live at the end of the month (3 days after Solid Sound!)
  16. Seriously? Harsh. The husband and I are prolly the only Vancouverites who aren't big hockey fans although it's been difficult to not get excited about the Canucks and their playoff run. We fly into Boston Monday in advance of Solid Sound. Whether the Canucks win or lose, I'm thinking we'll keep our hometown roots hush-hush!
  17. I hope you're OK. My mom suffered a pulmonary embolism following routine knee-replacement surgery. Fortunately, it occurred soonafter coming out of surgery so the post-op staff were all over her as soon as the symptoms appeared. She takes a blood-thinner now, Coumadin, and has her blood tested every two weeks. Otherwise, she's been fine. I hope you're on the mend. You, too, Analogman! Vibes for a speedy recovery.
  18. I heard this joke today. It's kinda funny, even to us folks here in Vancouver. Q. What time is it in Boston? A. Twelve past Luongo
  19. When you hear a great song in the most unlikely of places. This morning I heard "Bloodbuzz Ohio" at Steve Nash Fitness World which is notorious for its bad music! Yay!
  20. Subpoenaed in Texas, Sequestered in Memphis?
  21. Fleet Foxes at The Vogue Theatre!
  22. I think they did a pretty good job, too. I would probably replace Wilco (The Song), Casino Queen and HMD with Hotel Arizona, Pot Kettle Black and Hell is Chrome.
