treece
Well, the AMEX presale for NYC was a total fail. D'OH!! Spoke too soon....I just got 2! Very nice.
Evening Star
D'OH!! Spoke too soon....I just got 2! Very nice. As I have learned from these damn things, keep trying. I got one after 5 minutes of going back and forth.
JAK2112
haha, my dad and everyone in his office failed for the amex presale right at noon, i waltz in at 12:05 and pulled 4. It always seems like you have a better chance cleaning up the scraps than at the initial go.
jsarnerphoto
As I have learned from these damn things, keep trying. I got one after 5 minutes of going back and forth. I hear that! Except for the Bowery Ballroom fiasco, I have been lucky with this persistence technique. Somebody, somewhere is going to let their cart expire - probably because they wind up going back in to get something better. After having to refresh the damn CAPTCHA 6 times (I should have had more coffee before the presale), the tix for NY were already gone. But I stuck with it and 9 minutes later, I scored 2. Same with Boston - I got 2 in the left pit after 4 failed and went back to get 2 more elsewhere. Everything was sold out for 19 minutes, then I managed 2 more in orchestra left on the inner aisle. replacements75
I too after nearly 12 minutes of fruitless refreshing and typing of countless captcha phrases was successful for NY! Glad to see its not just the scalpers who are getting in on these presales.
oceanman
Ive got both kids sick and totaly spaced the presale today....if anyone wants to hit me with a good seat id love it...and ive got plenty of room for those needing to stay with me...ticket or not...its my turn to host the party...you all better come and hang out with my sorry... out of the loop ass! And i miss presale the day after i got my new notebook....ahhhhh Either way guys if ya can help me out awesome, ill check back in later. If so than maybe i can sleep in tomorrow with this sore throat. Thamks! And dont re direct me,im only kinda asking for a ticket...a good one
Preferred B
Same with Boston - I got 2 in the left pit after 4 failed and went back to get 2 more elsewhere. For your sake I hope not, but there was some confusion over the language that any multiple purchases for a single show would be canceled - even if the total was under the limit. If yours stand for a few days, I guess we know that's not what they meant.
parisisstale
For all Central Park hopefuls, I really don't see there being a huge problem getting tix going forward. I never get tix in advance in manhattan. Last year walking around the park I grabbed face value or below tix for pavement, black keys & flaming lips. I didn't even bother with the pre-sale. But Wang in Boston, however, nabbed orchestra
parisisstale
Keep trying folks! I just nabbed 2 front and center for St. Louis! Oh, and best avatar ever
Sparky speaks
Well, I kept at it like some of you suggested and at 12:41 I was able to snag two for NYC. I guess if they don't post the pre-sale as sold out there must be tickets left. I have carpal tunnel now however...
bebop
Add another vote to the keep trying chorus. I just slipped through the cracks and picked up 2 for NYC about 20 minutes ago.

If yours stand for a few days, I guess we know that's not what they meant. I know, B - I was worried about that too, especially since the Boston language was different than the other venues. I called Frontgate immediately after, explained the whole thing and they said I was fine as long as my orders totalled 4 tix. That gives me at least some peace of mind. I wanted to clear it up right away before the public on-sale just in case.

Thanks!Don't want to be a downer but on the flipside I went ticketless to the Brooklyn Show when they played Cyclone Stadium and it took me a good hour plus to get a single ticket at face..I rather of had a ticket in hand (From tm) then look over and over for tickets...some shows at central park when sold out are very hard to score outside at a good deal. Only chance I found where if you walk into the show late, the band is playing mulitple shows in the city, or you REALLY get lucky.

Guest Jules
you people and your presales.
lamradio
I did the presale once, was not happy with the results, and never have done it again since... In fact two times I bought through regular sales; I was on the front row center in front of Jeff (best seats I've ever had for a concert) and the second time was second row.
