Magnetized
Well, I was totally shut out of the Fillmore presale for 9/9, 9/10 and 9/11.
hollow
Shut out of both Seattle shows, presale link now directs to Ticketmaster (available Friday). Guess I'll try again on Friday. WORST presale experience so far.
scribex6
Well, I was totally shut out of the Fillmore presale for 9/9, 9/10 and 9/11. Same here. Hopefully, the general sale will be better.
knotgreen
Got very lucky for both Seattle shows. Just set some airfare alerts. Oof.
sonnyfeeling
I feel very lucky we were able to get 2 tickets for the last night in SF (9/11). The 9/10 show was sold out as far as I could tell within seconds. Was hoping to get two nights in a row so will now have to try to get something in the general sale on Friday morning from a laptop tethered to a cellphone while driving to Denver. I am not sure how many tickets they had in the presale for each night but if it was 10% of the house that's only about 55 pairs of tickets. Fillmore capacity is only 1150! Holdin on to black metal
No luck on any of the Fillmore shows. If any one needs a plus one, I'll go any night.
Wendy
Shut out here for Sat night Seattle. Not surprised, this is a pretty small venue.

Sandy in SFCA
Is there a password for this? Anyone? The last few times it was STARWARS. It's probably the same this time. There's no Live Nation or promoter pre-sale for the Fillmore shows. I'm a little freaked out by having only one more chance and needing tickets for all five nights! watch me fall
Thank You!!! First time I've been shut out for Seattle in well over a decade Any idea why they choose The Moore? Maybe they are trying to do more intimate shows? 1400 is tiny.

I'm only trying for one show but it's still so nerve wracking, especially when tickets are already on Stub Hub.See, I don't even get how these tickets could be sold on StubHub. Supposedly all tickets are at will call and the person claiming them has to have the credit card that they bought them with. No one else is supposed to be able to pick up those tickets. So how the hell could a StubHub ticket be valid? I ask not just out of curiosity but because if I have to I guess I will use the bastards. But I sure don't want to fly across the country and have an invalid ticket.
Muzzle of Dan
I got 2 center section orchestra level tix for the first night of LA in the presale today! Hoping i can grab some of the cheaper tickets for the other 2 nights in the regular onsale Friday.

But I sure don't want to fly across the country and have an invalid ticket. I think folks just try to get away with whatever they can. It was the same thing with the Radiohead shows here in LA, where the tix have super tight restrictions about being will call only and the person who buys the tix has to be there to get them and walk in with their guest, but those tix popped up. I think the kinds of people selling those tix on stubhub don't really care if the person buying that ticket will be able to get in or not - they just are trying to make a buck, even if it'is shady. There are also a ton of d-bags on craigslist selling their "extra" ticket to those Radiohead shows and charging at least 4 times the original price and they just state that if you buy the ticket you have to meet them and go in with them because of the ticket restrictions. It's funny because they are always like - "oh my friend can't go so I have an extra! only $400..."

I've had to resort to StubHub in the past and have had no problems with tickets not being valid. Not to say I wasn't nervous walking up to the venue before my ticket was swiped. I would think if a seller was caught selling invalid tickets they would be banned for any future sales. I'm just being naive, though. I know there are ways around anything. Would never buy a ticket off craigslist, though.

Would never buy a ticket off craigslist, though. This is true in fact you need a CC to get account and I guess if you posted fake tickets they would charge your card. I have bought many tickets off SH and sold many as welll...never had a problem (famous last words...lol). Not so say people could figure out way to open account on SH and sell fake tickets but I think it is rare...plus you will at least get your $$ back but might miss the show, which they cant give back to you
sonnyfeeling
Not only that, but after you pick up the Will Call Only tickets with ID and original credit card, you are escorted directly in. No opportunity to transfer the ticket to a buyer. This really is the right way to block scalpers hard, although it also tends to penalize people who have genuine emergencies that make it impossible to go. If they can enforce these restrictions, I would say anyone trying to sell or buy via Stubhub is going to be extremely disappointed.
watch me fall
Looking at the tix available for Seattle, they all have UPS shipping. I've only ever done the email tickets. Not sure I would trust anything else.

Not to say I wasn't nervous walking up to the venue before my ticket was swiped. No, it's not for all venues. I think for this run of shows the only ones with these severe restrictions are the Fillmore shows. I too have bought off of StubHub before and never had a problem but I've never bought tickets to a show that was as severely restricted as these tickets are. Not to whine, but I would be flying into San Francisco from Virginia and no Fan Protect guarantee is going to reimburse me for my airfare and hotel reservation! So for the Fillmore shows I guess I'm going to buy them the legitimate way or not go period. BUMMER!

There were a few "my friend can't make it, my extra is $300" tickets listed on Craigslist like others have mentioned, but nothing on StubHub.

Would never buy a ticket off craigslist, though. I mostly meant I think people will try to get away with anything they can to make money - so even if they have to give the money back, I think they are still going to try... I have bought tickets off stub-hub when they are face value or less. I have also had some really good luck getting last minute tickets for shows for face value or less on craigslist. Everywhere you go there are going to be scammers though.
