I was thinking about the Friday night Wilco show the the other day and here's what I think they'll do. They have enough music from Alpha Mike Foxtrot and other B sides that they could do an entire show. I'd really like to see that because I've seen them several times since it's come out hoping to get anything off that played live and haven't heard a thing. I'd love to hear The TB is Whipping Me live.

At the last Solid Sound they played a bunch of the B-Sides and Jeff stopped and said something akin to, "That's enough Japanese B-sides for one show, we've played like 5." So with that in mind, I would not put my money on it.

I feel exactly the same. Sorry to be sappy, but this is my happy place. quote name="twoshedsjackson" post="1598052" timestamp="1478728462"]

Looking forward to Solid Sound even more today. It's probably the only place I'll be reasonably sure I'm not completely surrounded by fascist assholes.

I wonder if Iron & Wine could play? Glenn drummed on the Sam Beam and Jesca Hoop album and according to The Loft Facebook page, the next Iron & Wine album was recorded there.

Hi,
I'm new to writing on this forum, but I have been following it for quite a while.

I have been considering going to Solid Sound next year, however I have a few questions that perhaps people that have been before can help with.

First of all, if the place easy to reach? I would be travelling to it from Europe, and potentially only have public transports to rely on. I wouldn't want to start buying the tickets and then find out it'll be very difficult to get there.

On a similar note, how is the accommodation situation near the festival area? My understanding is that it is quite a small place, and again  would want to start planning everything and then not find anywhere to stay (asking early as my guess is that everything nearby needs to be booked fairly quickly).

Hope this is the right place to ask.

Thanks,

Monica

hey Monica, i can't provide all the details, but hopefully this is helpful. first off, North Adams is not too close to Boston (likely where you will be flying into), and i am not sure of any public transport options available. it's about a 2 hr drive. maybe ridesharing could work, w/ fellow Wilco fans heading out from Boston? The other issue is lodging. the only close-by option is camping, and i doubt you'd want to haul camping gear w/ you from overseas. i think most places within a 15-30 min drive are already booked.

sorry to not bring better news, but unless you rent a car and don't mind driving, it'll be hard to manage.
